DarkBlood, you´re an arrogant f***!
haven´t seen ya in a while, where ya been?my top 5 in no particular order:
Jay-Z: since reasonable doubt this dude has maintained a lyrical standard that few can keep up with. he can flow on anything from commercial Beyonce r&b shit to the wikkedest beets anyone from Primo to Timbaland to Just Blaze can throw at him... RESPECT!
Biggie: the man could tell a story lyrically, which is a skill very few emcees have. He was the king of lyrical artistry and listening to him rhyme was a pleasure. He had an ability to flow on an epic scale whether on his own stuff or as a featuring artist.
Eminem: f*** the hype this cat can FLOW! He talks the biggest load of shit lyrically but he makes it work (like on Crazy from soundbombing 2). His versatility and pure emceeing talent make him one of the tightest to ever grip a microphone!
Organized Konfusion: I don´t know who´s bright idea it was to put Pharoe and Prince into a studio but whoever that was may they be blessed! They came out when commercialism was blowing up in hip hop but they still managed to come out with my favourite hip hop cd of all time "Equinox". When Pharoe went solo, he was tight, but nothing like that Organized flow that had me feeling them from day 1!
Common: This man raps with such pa**ion that his rhymes are almsot religious in their ability to inspire. I first heard Common on a De La Soul track off their "Stakes is High" album called "The Bizness" and he blew me away! I´ve not been dissapointed since then (way back in 1996) and so the C to the O double-M O N is definately in my top 5.
