Continental Gateway** I format, a platform to make way**
Don’t give a damn about the hate** past that, I’ve learnt debate**
A spiritual give and take** but most my peoples opaque**
With tunnel visions that’s fake** and they continue to make**
Issues that only create** dilemmas just for the sake**
But are they able to take** the wisdom given to break**
Share with the rest of the nation** in the form of education**
For generations were patient** waiting on this liberation**
Now that we got the attention** somehow we hear not a mention**
Falling for gullible tensions** unscrupulous our intention**
Not tryna wait on my pension** to speak the words of ascension**
Who says the youth have no penchant** to bring together direction**
A veteran I been there** I been square** I done it all to be fair**
It was a candid affair** bandits made off with their share**
Haters would glance with a stare** reciprocate if you dared**
The lead spread** a lot bled** numerous were left dead**

I know when it comes to hip hop, what peops like is a matter of personal choice. I´m just suprised though by the way emcees on Africasgateway are frontin´ on BinaryD work. I think he´s one of the illest writer judgin´ from the verses he´s posted here. He´s on some serious hip hop shit. Wu, sort of flavour and style. GZA comparison. I´m not sucking dick or anything.
Left fist he alrite but most of you guys are straight urban. Nelly kinda punks. Yeah I said it. Then there´s this new guy, his raps are just to complicated. Too much knowledge I guess. I agree with Thorax there. sage is on another level (and I´m still not sucking dick)

I feel that the METROPOLE hiphop is not being recognized and no due RESPECT is being giving, so the only way for it to be recognized is for us to lift ourself up, not only by holding cyphers, but by hocking up all the brothers and MOVING SOMETHING.So if there´s anyone whose got some sort of a action step, Let it be heard and let do this

Buttabing Artist Management on behalf of Skwatta would like to thank everyone who supported the group from day,people who bought the albums,people who voted for the videos,wrote to magazines,the radio stations and the retail stores.J-sec,Cape Town,PTA,Bloem,PE, DBN, Limpompo,Swaziland,Botsw,Lesotho,Swaziland,Germany,US and many more.
Thank you to the promoters for putting us on nationwide.
This year we managed to bring our brand and style of hiphop to the ma**es not just hiphop heads and after two years of hustling its paying off.

this is Attie Van Wyk. you´ll read more about me in Ira Oldstein´s latest.
I just wish to put the following across to Ira:
i was producing and reproducing MOBSHOP on the resources of the university i was attending at the time... (something i´m not proud of today - that was theft)which in essence means i could have pushed out more than 1000 units if i so wished. i did not pay for the computer, the printing or the ma** reproduction. the only sacrifice i had to make was to be on campus between 10pm and 4am the following morning; jump on the first train with a hiking bag full of paper and spend the next 2 days stapling like mad... (see PUTTING IN WORK)
PUTTING THE MOBSHOP OUT DID NOT COST ME A CENT... SO PUTTING OUT 1000 UNITS WAS REALLY A PIECE OF CAKE...
what u don´t know Rabbi is that 600+ copies were distributed on the university campus alone (on the insistence of my benefactors). my guess is that u looked at the 150 - 200 that we distributed at Angels and around town and drew your (ludicrous) conclusions from there.
then there´s your UNTOUCHABLE MOBSHOP. i´m gonna let you Africasgateway peops in on Ira Oldstein and the Roberts brothers´ ECONOMIC ACUMEN..
THEY PUT OUT A NICE GLOSSY "HIPHOP" MAGAZINE WITH ZWAI BALA ON THE COVER. (ZWAI WHO?
