Beast Meets a Problem, ‘Old’ Meets ‘New’, Holstar of Lusaka the Rapper Teams up with Kalulushi’s Rocbeats the producer in what is a pairing of Epic proportions.

This 5 track EP brings out a more lyrical side of Holstar that is reminiscent of his previous work with a battle rap approach on the first two tracks, he also touches on "personalities," love and career. Rocbeats though considered an upcoming producer has cemented his spot as one of Zambia’s most sought after producers working with acts such as Marvel, renowned Zambian rapper Slap Dee and Kenya’s Xtatic.

He was a selfless man and turned out to be a very valuable a**et to the Independent Hip Hop Community the world over, the number of people he helped through his website www.praverb.net with Marketing resources and Self improvement is insurmountable...

OH Hail 93 'til infinity! The 1st of September 2014 will see the official release of ‘DELTA93’, the much anticipated debut extended play by Zambian rapper ‘CHAA’. With pre EP releases such as the freeverse ‘Dunkin Donuts’ and critic/ pundit endorsements such as a placement on the much acclaimed ‘Praverb.Net’ Ultimate Female Emcee List (http://www.praverb.net/2014/03/female-emcees.html),

DELTA 93 is guaranteed a noteworthy reception. The EP was entirely produced by Canada based producer ‘Teck- Zilla’ of STR8BUTTAH, entirely recorded at Zero DB studios in Lusaka, Zambia and entirely curated by Slam Dunk Records Zambia.

Zambian born and raised, CHAA has been making music since she was 16 years old and cites Missy Elliot, Jean Grae, Nitty Scott MC, Erykah Badu, Holstar, Nirvana and Tribe Called Quest as some of her many musical influences. Having worked with Zambian musical outfits and labels such as Equalize Music, So’Good Music and of course Slam Dunk Records; CHAA seeks to mature into a well seasoned artist and curator.

The Holstar and Poison Hertz Present Universal Language; a 10 track project that is a collaborative effort a few years in the making.

Poison Hertz and The Holstar first met on myspace in 2008 and did a few songs together including the cla**ic “Take Us There” featuring Dope G.

Hip Hop is their “Universal Language” as The Holstar from Zambia and Poison Hertz from Argentina use google translator to communicate but the music making process doesn’t need any translation.

Calling All Zimbabwe/Zambia based Emcees and Singers:- Slam Dunk Records TV of Zambia and Da Grapevine TV of Zimbabwe bring to you the UNWTO 2013 Mixtape. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. In August this year both countries will jointly be hosting the general a**embly.
Slam Dunk Records TV and Da Grapevine TV saw it fit to share with the rest of the world our culture through music, tackling various topics and vices in both societies. This Mixtape will be the first of its kind and will serve as an outlet for Zambian and Zimbabwean youth to voice their opinions and stories of today’s happenings.

The a**embly will have up to 4 000 participants that are expected to attend from the 180 member countries, making this one of the most prestigious events of the year. Zambia and Zimbabwe both have a rich history and share a world heritage site, namely the Victoria Falls which is the biggest waterfalls in the world. This will be a great opportunity not only for tourists to experience the sites but also the versatile and diverse sounds that exist in both lands.

If you would like to submit your music for consideration email:- unwtomixtape@gmail.com before June 30th 2013. We will also be uploading beats from participating producers. Be creative, talk about your surroundings and your reality, try and fuse in different elements such as local instruments and dialect where you can. We would also like to encourage collaborations between Zambians and Zimbabweans through this project.
