"I'm working with Kanye. He reached out to me like, 'Yo, you at the studio?,'" Premier said in an interview. "He came by at 8 p.m. and didn't leave until three in the morning. We were drinking Grey Goose and just bugging out. It was me, Kanye and Showbiz, from Showbiz & AG talking about the whole industry...He told me how he wanted this album to be really boom-bap, hard, hard beats. He said, 'No electro Preem, I swear no electro [Laughs].' Ye is still that crazy dude he's always been. He's really focused on making this album raw. So I gave him a banger and he said he wanted two more on top of that one. I'm giving him two more this week." (VIBE)

General Discussion / Re: Selebi hates Fubu

was reading an article on the Selebi case on news24 and I thought this section was funny.

Quote
"That's a blue lie. Agliotti is the type of person who, when I tell him I'm a born-again Christian, he will go around saying 'I invited Jackie to meet God'."

Not a Fubu fan

Selebi further denied Agliotti's claim he bought clothing from fashion label Fubu for him or his children, saying he would never be caught wearing "baggy clothing".

Is he kidding. Have u seen Selebi, tailor fitted of not, anything that he wears is baggy. Dude has a waaaaaaistline on him. His clothes might be fitted when he's wearing them, but when he takes them off they nothing but huge bags.  :D :D :D

General Discussion / Re: What Is So Bad About Being Black?!?!?!
« on: April 16, 2010, 12:45:49 AM »

I was speaking to a colleague...and I say to him wow dude that pretty deep.

dude  : I learnt that when I was in France"
briCK :  Oh? you studied in France?
dude  : Actually I am French!
briCK  : Yeah? Funny I thought you were black!
dude  : Of color yes but of culture no!
briCK  :  ??? what do you mean I am lost, were your parents born there or something?
dude  :  No I was born in the then Zaire now Congo....I went to france when I was 18.
briCK  : So why do you say you French not whatever African Tribe you are?

Errr I think to some extent u are confusing race with nationality. I can be black and french at the same time. French is a nationality.

Formal definition from wiki:
* The legal residents and citizens of France, regardless of ancestry.
* People whose ancestors lived in France or the area that later became France.
To be French, according to the first article of the Constitution, is to be a citizen of France, regardless of one's origin, race, or religion (sans distinction d'origine, de race ou de religion).

If somebody is black and they say they're french, provided they meet the requirements as stated above, then there is nothing wrong with that, he would be correct to call himself french. It has nothing to do with his race. Unless u asked him a direct question like "what race or colour r u"?

Gael Monfils is referred to as a french tennis player and he's black. That's his nationality, he's from France.

But I know what u mean with certain ppl a**ociating themselves with certain nationalities and even races even if they don't qualify. Damn wannabes, can't be and will never be  >:( >:(

Every morning when you wake up, look at yourself in the mirror and repeat the words "I'm a baaawse". And every evening while laying in bed before you fall asleep, scream out "Trillaaaaaa".

Repeat the above instructions everyday until your beard look like Rick Ross's. Good luck.

Hmmm...all this reminds me of Biggie's song when he said "Somebody's got to die, if I go u got to go"

And now the British media picked up on this story and are using it to spread fear for the world cup fans. According to them, gangs in townships are running around with machetes.

Read their bullshit story here. SMH.

I hear the AWB are now linking this to Julius Malema's singing of "kill the boer" and are planning to avenge their leader's death.

The plot thickens.

Jub Jub getting Bail is some bullshit, the judge's justification of that is also total
bullshit!!!

I know cats with weed charges that got denied bail, this cat kills 4 kids and he gets bail, someone got payed out, for real!!!!

It doesn't justify the crime, he f***ed up and needs to pay for that?

it wasn't trial. he hasn't been exonerated. it was a bail hearing. he hasn't won shit yet. he f***ed up and is yet to answer to that... <sigh>

Tru that. U can kill and still get bail. It happens many times, nothing new, but your day in court is still coming where u will face the charges.

Unless there was reasonable evidence showung that JubJub would be a danger to society if he got bail, or that he would be a flight risk etc, then he probably wouldn't have got bail.

I can't believe this dumb-a** turned up to his murder trial wearing a cap with 'gangsta' written on it, and a t-shirt with 'explicit lyrics'. He obviously really wants to spend a lot of time in prison.

http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/article362051.ece

I can't believe that u actually think that picture was taken when he showed up in court. I know he's stoopid but not this stoopid, especially at this time when he's begging for mercy. That must be an old picture, dug up by the media because of what is printed on it, as the media likes to do to these well known people sometimes. Dude has been going to court in a proper shirt, tucked in like a decent mama's boy.

Also, looking at that pic, there is no way he would be walking into court without the cops tightly surrounding him with all the threats going round, as on previous court dates. And that dude next to him is wearing school uniform, and we know what the kids want to do to him. he wouldn't be that close and still be breathing  :D.

That's just my two cents analysis  ;D ;D

BTW, I saw this really fly honey in traffic today in a sliver Mini Cooper S, rolled down my window and said to her "Slow down girl, u killin 'em"

Anyone know what Juju was visiting JubJub for? well allegedly visited coz i'm not certain he did. hearsay.

clarity anyone?

i wonder if thats good or bad...

They were talking about this on 702 this morning, that is it a good thing or bad thing on Malema. And Redi concluded that we don't know if they are friends or know each other somehow.

He could be giving a friend moral support, of which there is nothing wrong. Who r we to say if the visit is right or wrong, especially if we don't know what it's about. I hear he also brought JubJub Nandos.

If the murder charge doesn't stick, they'll get him on culpable homicide. But looking at this, if there's a chance of any of them getting off lightly, it will probably be Themba, with a good lawyer of course. Remember JubJub caused the accident by hitting the other car.

Themba's car lost control due to being hit by JubJub and rammed into the kids. He had no control over that. If he was not hit he would driven past the kids.  It's a possibility.

Or, the way the cops are going about this, they could get off on a technicality i.e. "Police f***ing up the investigation as usual".

Read below from a sunday paper.

Hip-Hop phenomenon Jub Jub’s fatal car crash drama took a new twist on Friday when two witnesses alleged the police tried to make them lie under oath.

Tumelo and Mpumelelo (surnames withheld for fear of reprisals) stormed out of Protea police station after a Captain Sekgabi allegedly dragooned them into using print media reports as their statements.

Tumelo was in Jub-Jub’s charcoal doodlebug and Mpumelelo in a blue-and-white toy driven by Themba Tshabalala when they were involved in an accident that claimed the lives of four schoolkids in Protea North, Soweto on Monday.

Relating the matter to Sunday World on Friday, Tumelo says the investigating officer, Inspector Mpho Matshidisho, called him and said he and Mpumelelo must come to the police station to make their statements.

He says their parents accompanied them to the copshop .

“When we arrived there we were told Mpho was not there and we should speak to Captain Sekgabi.

“We went to his office and he produced a copy of a daily newspaper and said we should confirm that what had been published in the article was true and should be used as our statement,” says Tumelo.

“I refused and insisted on giving my statement because what the media reported was in conflict with what happened at the accident scene.”

Tumelo declines to relate to Sunday World what actually happened during the accident.

“I cannot say that now. What I can tell you is that the truth will come out when we go to court (during trial).

“I cannot be forced to lie because when you tell a lie, you will be charged with perjury.

“We are not going to protect anybody here but it is against our democracy for the police to force us to say things that aren’t true,” he says.

Tumelo’s version was reiterated by Mpumelelo, who added that as they were arguing with Captain Sekgabi, Inspector Matshidisho arrived and tried in vain to intervene.

“He told Sekgabi to let us give our statements. But Sekgabi told him that if we are not going to confirm and use what appeared in the newspapers as our statement we should leave.

“Mpho called Sekgabi aside and spoke with him for a while.

“We could see the two of them arguing over the matter.

“But after a while Sekgabi came to us and said we should do as he said or leave and that he would meet us in the box. We left,” says Mpumelelo.

The two men say they will go back to give their statements in the presence of their lawyer.

“Our biggest mistake was to go to the police station without our lawyer.

“That is why they wanted us to use the info that appeared in the media, which is not true, as our statement,” says Mpumelelo.

Sunday World understands that the police wanted them to confirm that Jub Jub and Tshabalala were drag racing because it is difficult for them to prove this.

We also have establish that the police wanted the duo to confirm that Jub Jub’s car was the one that ploughed into the four teens who died instantly but couldn’t establish at the time of going to press whose car mowed the school children down.

SMH.
