Got there at bout midnite, got me a couple Smirnoff Spins and invaded the dancefloor until they unplugged the sound system – I think hip-hop shows need a batter way to end, this turning off the sound while cats are dancing is not on at least let us know that the show is bout to end…

Different things from different MCs. I know what I´m getting from Ruck and Rock, I know what I´m getting from KRS One, I know what I´m getting from Chuck D etc.

Now, I acknowledged earlier that Guru gets props for his commitment to laying down jewels. But he doesn´t do it terribly well. In fact, look through his lyrics and see how often he strays off topic. And, seeing that you hold his jewels in such high regard, perhaps you should consult his verses on Rite Where You Stand. Real positive, man.

"Ride Where U Stand" isn´t one of my favourite - i don´t know his verses of by heart but i´ll take a look and respond...

Anyway, all I was pointing out was he strengths and weaknesses. I´m sorry if my opinions made you catch feelings. I´ve already got a girl, I don´t need your emotional responses.

Gee, thanks, that’s a quotable, Imma remember to put it in the next verse I write.

Khoi, pit Guru against either Rock or Ruck of Heltah Skeltah, and he´d come third in a fight of two.

Obviously we looking for different things in a rapper/ MC – I a**ume you for skill/flow and charm/charisma (in the voice),

I’m for quotable, skill/flow and charm/charisma and in my books the man who said: “Bear in mind jewels be the tools of the trade” beats those BCC blunt crazed soldiers

But then yet again if you looking for nonsense said nicely Rock and Ruck will beat Guru hands down
8-)

People I’ve tried ignoring this thread, but I really can’t anymore. You go on about how wack Guru is, how his voice is sounds the same and how Premo covers his a**. Truth is, a lot of your favourites have the same problem – if I could make the same statements you using against him, but instead of Guru say KRS-One you will skin me alive, why cause KRS is the god ok I accept that, what about Rakim Allah – his master/ crasher/ rated R flow is dead, let’s face Rakim ain’t that great and him too had Premo cover his a** ala New York (Ya Out There), On The Mic,

I can say the same bout Nas, and that excuse of a rapper Afu-Ra, and by the way I might have been screaming my lung out at the Black August, but I still thing Jeru Da Damaja is the only rapper (except Afu-Ra) that Primo fails to bring out the best in…

So, leave the “Gifted Unlimited MC that f***s the rest you niggaz know him” the f*** alone

That’s me

Khoi, look out for La´s new joint. Mobb joint leaked, heard good and bad stories about it. Did you get Loyalty?

1. La´s new joint what´s it called?

2. No, Mobb is out got relased i think last week, heard snippets of it on their site and "Party over here/ bullshit over there" - Pee. i´m buying that Mobb, regardless of the stories and i´ll make my own review and as always it´s getting 5 mic/ 5 stars/ 10/10

As i said before, i´m Mobb Deep fan to the grave....

and for the record: (with the help from Sticky Fingaz) "[Prodigy] is still alive that means the greatest rapper of all time ain´t never died"

3. Are talking about Screwball´s Loyalty - shit is here with me - "Torture", "Street Life" and "Real Niggaz" is the shit

My ears are heavy soaking up sounds of:

Jagged Edge - Jagged Little Thrill
Didn’t get it when it initially dropped, cause I thought it sounded the same as “Promise” and I thought they joint with Nelly was trash, but after a good listen I’ve changed my tune, Wingo, Kyle, and them damn twins; Brian and Brandon are the greatest group doing what they do. Period

Method Man and Redman – Blackout
I bought it recently, last week to be exact, “Mi Casa”, “The ?”, “Cheka”, “Fire Ina Hole” and “How High” are on repeat.

Wu-Tang Killa Bees – The Swarm
It was at the bottom of the bag of CDs and the cover is all torn up, the disc itself has scratches here and there, but the tracks on there still sound fresh “Bronx War Stories”, “Where Was Heaven” whoa!!!

LA The Darkman - Heist Of The Century
“Shine”, “Love” and “Gun Rule” are too nice

Muggs Presents…The Soul a**a**ins Chapter 1
I’m feeling Goodie Mob “Decisions, Decisions”, Mobb Deep’s “It Could Happen To You” Infamous Mobb’s “Life Is Tragic” and Wyclef’s “John 3:16”

Obie Trice - Cheers
Don’t want to lie and don’t have to, but Obie has found himself a new fan in me. Bought Cheers last month and I’m kicking myself for only buying this shit last month

Anyone seen Mobb Deep’s Amerika’z Nightmare, anywhere in Jozi? I wait me some of that, you just don’t understand…

Wu forever!

Khoi,
Rza´s "Birth of a Prince" came out on Sanctuary last year, why are you only complaining now? Also if I remember correctly Destinys Child was nowhere to be found on that CD.
The next Sanctuary/WU release is the 10 annivesary concert DVD at Rock the Bells (Rushay were you there?!), its out in September.

Oh, I didn´t know, but I still think Wu is the only crew that can drop that hordcore shit we all love and sell 50 Cent numbers, so i always wonder why don´t they all realease on Wu-Tang records -rather than this one being on Def Jam, that one MCA, and a few on underground labels - and make Roc-A-Fella cash?

Hope you feeling me... 8-)

There might be a duet with Destiny´s Child.  :-|, but why can´t Wu start they own label, you know some jiont venture shit like Mobb Deep, Slim Shady and them. it would be sad to see them make Knowles a whole lot of cash they can´t make for themselves...   :-[  :-[

De La work with Matthew Knowles.
Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Beyonce´s father, Matthew Knowles, was looking to sign De La Soul. Apparently he has succeeded. Knowles is heading Sanctuary Urban Records Group through a venture with his own Music World imprint. At De La´s listening session earlier this week, Knowles revealed that Sanctuary doubled as label and management company. The management side is presently representing artists like Jadakiss and Mary J. Blige while the label plans to release efforts from R&B singer Glenn Lewis and Wu Tang Clan in the coming months. :-[  :-[
