hey Pyro

i don´t know u and u might know me or not but im sure of one thing u much of a fool than i originally thought. the same person that told u that or gave u that idea is eating from this shit.

the truth is if they don´t sell -they don´t get the money, like u their diss cats jigga, puff or they follow them (if u want i can name a few). and that leaves u with a new hero eg. nas was hip-hop´s number 1 hero with Illmatic, then came It was written then the same million cats that bought illmatic, were like nah, he soldout blah, blah, blah. i promise u if El-p can stick to his

Quote:
far from spaced out. they give it to you straight and simple. no bullshit, no fancy beats.- PYRO -

as u put it and SABC 1 start playing his music, 5 million cats buy that bullshit and u see him in the source sipping some fine a** wine with a couple of chicks, u will be the first to say that he is commercial, a sellout, and so and so who is struggling to get the airplay El-p is getting will be the next big thing in your list of dope mc’s.

i still don´t know u but I have reasons to believe u one of those f***s who just got on the hip-hop bandwagon, that never goes to hip-hop shows or clubs, the same f*** who buys cds to bite styles, the f*** who thinks that a cat who wears designer gear is not hip-hop a hip-hop head should be rugged wear the same clothes for days “just cause his favourite mc told him so.”

Quote:
if you´re not feeling that, stick to 50 cents. you can call yourself zim dolla and release a album full of club songs.

look man I feel 50 (yes, I bought his album) and I did buy Co Flow and RubberRoom’s cd, unlike u I understand that Co Flow make cds to eat if not so let them give to people for free.

Do be fooled Pyro I know my shit…. And by the way there is no better way to put it than "U wanna be Undaground cool get a coffin and a tombstone"...

Prodigy of Mobb Deep dissing Style P of the LOX on "Keep It Thoro"

"I gave birth to your whole style and feel
How do it feel, to hold my dick in public
Cock blower, duplicate rap cloner"

Cormega & Prodigy of Mobb Deep dissing Jay Z and Nas - "Thun & Kicko"

P to Jay Z

alot of gats on your DAT, tape southpaw
you thuggin´ when the mic´s plugged in
barkin´ through the speakers like you got no sense
you wild on the two inch
got your platinum plaques to prove it
your music´s been around the World movin´
and it comes right back around on the ground, don´t it?

Cormega to Nas

Who´s tale you tellin´? are you frail or felon?
were you makin´ sales or watchin´ niggas sellin´?
you exploit niggas lives in your rhymes and then avoid ´em...

...what you tryin´ to do? help the guys in Blue?
indight niggas so that can be another rhyme for you?
you a parasite, you never had a life
so you throw other niggas lives in your pad at night
it´s clever when you write it
spoken well for a dude who never been indighted
you know the deal mothaf***a, the real make the fake niggas kneel...
your mothaf***in´ flow is basic, chill

"Life Is A Bitch- I´m the pimp you owe mad dues to," says Mega on another song.

i think the follwing are just ill lines:

U wanna be underground cool get a coffin and a tombstone- Amu on Attention

You´ll got the raw talent but u lack the know-how – Shugga on Rau Rau

Look I don’t want to comment about what happened to hip-hop in the US because we all know that there are a million and one things to blame for the way our beloved hip-hop is and sound.

I would rather talk about what f***ed hip-hop in Jozi (well, I’m not too how hip-hop is in other parts of the country). But in Jozi it was:

1.   the words “BATTLE & FREESTYLE” it gave far too many wack rappers props, which lead to big headed rappers with chicken brains thinking they are God’s gift to the mic.

2.   Company Flow, Cannibal Ox, RubberRoom, who else, er any way, those f***ers came with that they wack beats, senseless lyrics (space out), bullshit a** flow and gave local cat the right to rap bullshit and call it science, all of a Sunday local beatmakers started taking any sound from keyboard added a kick and called that underground sound or hardcore.

3.   KRS One’s line “A dope MC is a dope with or without a record deal all can see” that made local mc’s think it’s wrong to have a an album out and to have a recording deal (look at what happened to Mizchief-after “Fashionable”, Amu- after his collabo with Zola and Skwatta Kamp-when they signed to Gallo).

4.   the fact that too many cats call themselves mc’s or rappers and most of them don’t even know the difference between a verse and a song.

5.   the fact that cast like DJ Blaze and Bionic Mr. Bigga, Amu (yes AMU- because let’s face it a lot of u Jozi battlecats started rapping cause they wanted top diss him, if not to be like him), don’t get the recognition, respect, and the money they deserve.

6.   the day the rappers got the idea they can outrap or outcla** New York – eg 5 out of 10 Jozi cats bought Wu-Forever, thought the Clansmen were Gods of the rap game, then studied all the lyrics, mastered the flow (especially Ghost Face’s), formed groups with more than five members, bit a few lines and made them their own, recited them to about 20 other Wu-like rappers, got a few props, auditioned on Rap Activity Jam and went on to get the most votes, then began thinking they rap better than Wu and that Wu’s wack- that´s when they dick rode Co Flow.

Penny Lebyane - I remember when she was the Social Butterfly on City Press and she reported on a Dead Prez concert in Botswana. She mentioned in the article how she wasn´t really into hip-hop and was just there to check the people out, now she is rap´s biggest fan

pls understand im not defending Penny cause I’m not sure about her sudden love for hip-hop, maybe something after that concert sparked her interest in hip-hop but what we should concentrate on is that both her and Zack are giving hip-hop a chance, let’s not take this 4 granted like we took Rap Activity. I agree they might be in it 4 the money or whateva but rappers need to stop complaining about jumping on the hip-hop bandwagon and take this opportunity to use metro, Penny, Zack and any other form of media to get exposure.

Please note you might not need the exposure but the hip-hop culture needs it so we can start using our rhyming skills to put food our tables.

Well let´s see:

Wu-Tang -Truimph it has 2 be Jonny Blaze aka Iron Lung aka Method Man no one else,

Wake Up Show - the anthem i don´t really like the song but i think Pharoahe Monch killed it

as for Fat Joe -John Blaze i really don´t know

Brick the song comes from Fat Joe´s ´97 or ´98 album called Joe Canagena (not sure about the spelling) but anyway he used his real name 4 the CD title.

General Discussion / IT´S OFFICIAL, KWAITO IS DEAD
« on: October 03, 2003, 04:54:00 PM »
hey people take that champaign back into the fridge, cuz the although kwaito is dead we stiil have house music (yeah! a lot of u are house heads, i know) when that bullshit a** fast music is dead, then we can start selling...nah think again boys and girls we need to start by doing Mzantsi hip-hop that SA people will love and buy, not that bullshiit a** music u call hardcore which don´t make sense in my ear.

and those bullshit a** fuc´ed up lyrics ya´ll are writting is not it, (remember: just "Cause you don´t understand him, it don´t mean that he nice/ It just means you don´t understand all the bullshit that he write")  this hardcore needs to stop then we can start selling.

i don´t know about you´ll, beacuse really i won´t be happy with selling 500 copies, fuc that i need a nice car, house and  enuff Timberlands to change a pair every day of the week. i wanna be the cat that´s always dressed in the finest shit, the cat that drinks the finest wine, the cat that smells so good u feel a cool breeze when i pa**, i wanna be the cat you´ll love 2 hate because he fucs model chicks. yeah u right i wanna be the cat u call a sell out- i don´t need props they don´t feed me, any way, people give me them just 4 the way i look (u´ll have 2 see me 2 believe me).

Hot Traxxx / Most Disappointing Albums
« on: October 03, 2003, 10:41:00 AM »
hola people,

i hear you, but there´s one thing i´ve learned is that Mzantsi "so-called Mcs, wanna be rappers" are hard to please.

i really disagree with those who say that Talib Kwali´s Quility is wack, the real and only you say that is because u dick rode Hi-Tek (and that Rawkus sound) so much that u hate the fact that Kwali didn´t have him on the LP. and as for MrC i agree with your list. but as for Gangstarr being wack, man i need to know "what´s that shit that u be smoking"  cause it has gotten u crazy u need to leave that shit alone.

any way here is my list:

Every KRS album after KRS

Ghost Face´s album after Supreme Clientele, ODB´s Nigga Pls

Wu´s Iron Flag and W as for Forever shit is cla**ic.

every thing from Rawkus (including Mos Def´s solo) except Reflection Eternal, Black Star and a few songs from Lyrist Lounge One.

all Outkast´s post ATLiens

b4 i 4get Rza´s Digital Bullets and the the Sting (The Swarm Vol 2)

OC´s new lp

honestly both i expected much from 50´s CD and dead prez´s mix-tape but they both are bullshit.

mojah

p.s. and please leave Jigga and Nas alone those are two of the gr8est rappers u will ever see.
