Are those real boxers? Is that shit for real. It's on the fourth episode now on SABC 2 and the three fight that I've seen are so amateurish, it unbelievable.

who else watches that ish. I'm losing interest, it just seems too fake. I was excited about it at first but now, never mind.

I got the first fitteen episodes yesterday. The Simpsons dont make laugh that hard anymore. The Boondocks is the shit. better check that out if you can. Big ups to Aaron McGruder!

I like the the way he mocks gangster wannabees, B.E.T, racism, etc.

General Discussion / Do you have to be black to be African
« on: February 19, 2007, 01:15:19 PM »
Did anyone check "The Big Question" on SABC2 last night?

I have never thought about this question before that show. I wasn't aware that there are people with ideas about being African that exclude those of "European descent" (whatever this means). Neither was I aware that there's this clamour from some white people wanting to be called Africans.

I say let a person be who they want to be, let them call themselves what they want to be , aspecially about being called an African. I know traditionalist would have a big problem about this comment since their definition of being african includes participating in African traditions or you just have to be black.

I don't really have strong views on this issue because I'm not one those people who'd usually have problem about other peoples identities and how they define themselves unless how you define yourself encourages descrimination.

I feel that going out of your way trying get other people not to call themselves African only because they're white is unfair because no matter how your great-grandfathers landed up in which ever place you were born in, because you were born there I say you've earned the right to define yourself accorded to whatever definition that a**ociates you with your place of birth or your way of life.

Movie Talk / Madea
« on: February 15, 2007, 01:52:46 PM »
Anybody else know this character (check my sig) from these 2 movies:
- "The Diary of A Mad Black Woman"
- "Madea's Family Reunion"

They're not great movies but this character plus her brother (Joe), both done by Tyler Perry, the write and director of these movies, are very funny. You sure gon get a good laugh during every scene where these two Characters appear.

Beats the the two guys in Puff, Puff Pa** (my recent favourite).

anybody else seen this?

besides the old man at reception I'm the only man so far who rocked up in those colours. shit.

I'm not a fan of this cat but I'm impressed with his writting skills here. Though the album is also full of those wack album selling joints, I'd buy it!
