In hip-hop, it´s never about your head. It´s about heart. We should all be called hip-hop hearts.

Yeah, that´s the HIPHOCALYPSE right there. Mental kills it on the mic, whether he´s on the track or doing the radio thing. Gtown hip-hop is exploding - Hiphocalypse Mixtape and now the Innovator´s debut? Aw yeah...

?????

Was this in reply to my thread about the Volume in VM? What do you mean by signatures?

Yeah, I saw blak twang, he rocked my world. Really wanted to check skinnyman but had to take care of a mate and myself. Got some crazy photos of twang, took a video as well only to find out my camera doesn´t take sound. GRRRRRRRRAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH.

Superbly written, wonderfully tense book.

But white man lies? Come on.

I was cruising around Piccadilly Circus in London and stopped at the large-as-all-fukc Virgin Megastore, among the biggest in the UK. Was stopped dead in the hip-hop section by a sighting of Tumi and the Volume Live at the Ba**line. Right out front. 17 quid.

Have a pic but can´t load it for some reason.

Still this genuinely blew my mind. I know the Virgin Megastores quite well, and they have NEVER had any South African hip-hop. Ever.

Big ups to the Volume. IT´S ALL MOVING!

Hmmm...think I liked your other remixes more. This one seemed a little disjointed. It still sounds tight though...keep em coming!

"Cos you´re amazed by the way that I´m rocking the mic like that (yo, run that line back)/..." - Second Son

"Don´t even need a microphone stand to mic check/ Don´t even need a microphone man, I´m high-tech/" - ZEN

"You battle against me son, that´s a never/ Cos I will flip it on you like Grahamstown weather/" - Ree the Inforcer

"Make ´em weak like addicts to prescription pills/ If illness kills, we´re about to murder millions like the AIDS virus/" - Blakrok

"You was the bomb back in the days, but now you´re like a volcano in it´s dormant stage/" - Mental Lyricist

"I treat the studio like a three-ring circus/ Heads up, you clowns, I´m playing lion-tamer with my verses/" - Rob One (cuz well...why not.)

MAKE THAT REMIX HAPPEN!
Still my favourite track off the mixtape by far.

Just out of interest (and this is strictly unnofficial and an idea) would you be interested in formally submitting a track or two for the Mixtape 2?

It´ll be hapenning next year, obviously. No word about when or how but would you be interested?

that femcee thing mus disappear... ppl dont announce female CEOs and femael DJs .. FEMPEES, in parliament or woteva

Damn straight. Like you said, we don´t call Frene Ginwala or Wnnie (ahem) Fempees. So why does everyone always talk about femcees? It´s this kind of thing that the Hiphocalypse is trying to stop.

Anyway, the RSSG (Rape Survivor´s Support Group) said to pa** on their thanks to everyone who bought and supported the mixtape. Let´s not forget that this was and still is the real motivation and driving force behind it, so now you can bump Blak as I Rok the Mic, Fell in love With an MC, Freedom etc. knowing you contributed to a good cause.

Bleh...  :-)
