I once saw an El-P vid on MTV. Anyway, the distinction between Hip Pop ("hip hop" they play on the radio, tv etc.) and RnB/pop is being eroded. Look at the biggest (in terms of sales) Hip Pop artists today: Kanye, Lil'Wayne, Soulja Boy, Jay-z, Akon. You can't really tell if they're doing Hip Pop, RnB or Pop.
That is these day`s hip hop dude!,
it is ish to watch most of the Awards today. fck em all.

therz a threshold wich you must maintain.
gracefully slide that threshold slider till your ear likes it & your speakers and code RED lights dont want to light up & accept the punch without Distortion.
For the genre of music u doin you gotta remember the peak RMS[Root Mean Square] indicated in your compressor. [Compton]WATTS, hehe -11 to -9
Load up your current favorite in wavelab and let the analayzerz do it's thang and notice the spatial convergence, RMS & Gain & Frequency curves

this will give the AGian producers, Mceez, and graphixans having enough time to prepare their works.

Its a clusterf*** getting cats to record so lets not even go there, I went with the compilation Idea cos I know we all got music on our pcs and we upload daily as evidenced by the UUGH thread
