Based in Melbourne, Victoria. Born on the Gold Coast he relocated to Melbourne to further his musical career. Originally known for his production work he has produced for artists such as Bliss n Eso, Phrase, Drapht, Dialectrix, Muph & Plutonic, Spit Syndicate, Urthboy, Syntax, and The Tongue. He released his debut solo album, Good Gracious, in 2010. The album features many guest appearances, including Mantra, Muph & Plutonic, Phrase, Spit Syndicate, Bliss N Eso, Illy and Pez, and reached the top 20 of the ARIA album charts. Good Gracious was a featured album on national youth radio station Triple J. The album earned M-Phazes an ARIA Award for Best Urban Album. Recently blessed Talib Kweli on his latest Gutter Rainbows release with production on the title track

Having worked with noted artists like chart-topping Amerie (Island Def Jam) and Pharoahe Monch, M-Phazes' musical influences continue to expand. In the Phrase-featured track "Music Box", elements of dance, electro, and pop are layered together in perfect harmony, creating the album's sizzling dance floor anthem. Having received an ARIA win for his work with Bliss N Eso, their collaboration continues in "Walk On Clouds" which will be Bliss N Eso's only guest feature prior to the release of their next album.

Dudes, if yall find his production credits let me know, caus this dude has worked with many kats.

Go out and get Good Gracious!

Since producing and performing the hit track "Musik Lounge" for DJ Jazzy Jeff's "Magnificent" LP, Amir "Oddisee" Mohamed has pushed his involvement in the music industry into fifth gear. Taking advantage of working at A Touch of Jazz studios, Oddisee has incorporated the neo soul vibe of Philly into his eclectic and well decorated resume. Coming from a diverse background, the half Sudanese half African American was blessed with musical talent from both sides of his family. Oddisee was influenced by the accomplished singers, guitarists, and poets on his Sudanese side, and on his American side, by the gospel singers, blue gra** guitar players, and older cousins who gave him his first taste of hip-hop. Ironically, though, it was his Sudanese father that gave Oddisee the vinyl that fueled his pa**ion for producing hip-hop music.

Since turning his focus towards hip-hop in 1999, Oddisee has worked with the likes of Gary Shider of Parliament and Funkadelic, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli, J-Live, Asheru, Little Brother, Freeway, Black Milk, Georgia Anne Muldrow and many other respected recording artists. Now signed with Mello Music Group, Oddisee will soon be invading air waves and record stores near you with a unique sound that's impossible to ignore. With his incredibly distinctive and mesmerizing style, Oddisee covers just about every sect of hip-hop music, creating a sound that is appealing to all music lovers. Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Maryland, Oddisee and his "Low Budget" crew, including such hip hop artists and producers as Cy Young, Kevin Brown, and Kenn Starr, have already managed to leave their mark within the hip-hop community of the D.C. metropolitan area, and Oddisee is today ready to introduce his remarkable sounds to the world and influence the entire hip-hop community. This producer/emcee extraordinaire is poised to be your favorite beat maker and lyricist in one. Watch out world!

truth be told, i appreciate why you have put dude up, obviously cos you are a supporter of his work, but honestly, i doubt he has done much to really prove his staying power in the game thus far...with little over four albums under his belt, he truely has a long way to go...alas, i respect his talents and wish him well...!

a request please...can you pluck up some intel on ODDISEE  8)

hahahah will do, do you mean new shit?

nah famly, just his catalog thus far, much like youve done with eybody elses...i have a slight picture of what it looks like, but it wouldnt help to compare with the intel you could dig up...besides, it should be very interesting to see, since in my humble opinion he is holding down the fort for both LOW BUDGET & MELLO MUSIC GROUP as far as production goes...not to take anything away from KEV BROWN, KAIMBR, APOLLO BROWN etc ofcourse...!

Im cooking it up right now...why not have 2 beat magicians in one day...word up!

The SOULja...

Rising Detroit producer, Apollo Brown first graced the national scene as the winner of the Midwestern leg of the Red Bull Big Tune producer beat battle. Apollo began making his own music in 1996 using now-archaic Voyetra audio software, then upgraded to Cool Edit 2000 in becoming a self-described bedroom beat-maker for roughly the next eight years. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in business administration, he moved to the west side of Detroit and immersed himself in the local hip-hop community, forming the Black Day in July production crew with high school cla**mate and Wu-Tang affiliate Bronze Nazareth. When the pair branched off into individual work, Apollo relocated to the east side of the Motor City and continued to build before becoming disenchanted with music and stepping away from production for two years.

It was the mid-2000s, and the upstart producer saw no future for his work—work he had dedicated his life to—in an industry where radio was setting a formulaic pattern for mainstream music.
