So you are now officially named Skattered Thoughts? Why don't you go to all your online profiles and change the name on them? 90% of what you do ends up in Google, and in Google you don't want to be "skattered" if your aim is to build a brand. Believe me. I know.

i be 35 years old this year...
i consider myself a hiphop mummy.. that's how long i been down...
i mean i started b-boying in '84... and it's like 23 years later...

i don't listen to rap music anymore... nothing that was released after 2001 at least.. it doesn't say anything anymore..
(that Chickenhawk song was all balls though)
i don't buy music anymore - i Limewire everything into my house..
(as long as they gonna want R120 for a CD i'm gonna jack their music)
i rock 501s, cargos, three quarters and sandals (Polo, Soviet, Mr. Price)... the beauty of being your own boss and not having to adhere to a dress code.. i do however rock designer suits, shirts and tie sto church on Sundays (one of my clients own a mens boutique so steep discounts apply)

and that's pretty  much an aging head for you...

Hip Hop Events / HYPE's Regional KINGS
« on: December 14, 2006, 09:12:13 PM »
ok Mizi...
i take it you understand that HIPHOP is a multi-faceted urban phenomenon, and there is no ONE element that defines it or towers above another in defining it.

if that is in order. i'd like to pose the following question:

WHEN YOU MAKE REFERENCE TO THE "REGIONAL KING", ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE TOP DAWG IN EMCEEING, TURNTABLISM, B-BOYING, STREET FASHION, STREET ENTREPRENEURIALISM, BEATBOXING, GRAFFITI OR STREET SLANGUAGE..???

just asking...

that's a onesided view dawg...

imagine u were the principle shareholder in ABSA..

and if cats are not doing you in with cash in transit heists, they do you in via the internet or even on the phone... but you get done in regardless..

WOULD YOU NOT PUT CERTAIN PROCEDURES IN PLACE TO PREVENT GETTING DONE IN - AGAIN...???

sadly.. i have never read HYPE...
i did however undertake a pilgrimage to Jozi in 2004 to speak t the cats at Intelligence Publishing about playing an active role in the venture..

whilst the chemistry was good, i had sensed from the getgo that the only driving force there was HOW MUCH MOONSHINE CAN WE SQUEEZE OUT OF THIS HUGELY OVERLOOKED MARKET VIA ADVERTISERS THAT WANNA REACH THEM... and that saddened me to the extent that i was happy to continue working as a call centre agent for Cell C...

however, as a Capitalist Nigga i am still intent on making my move on the hiphop ma**iv.. be it now or in future.
