Its hard to watch movies, can't help but analyze and critique but thats mostly why I enjoy them as well.

I indulge in a lot of theatre and seen some powerful stuff on the stage.

I seen that MI: III flick last night was pretty decent. Haven't really seen an action flick in a minute & this was a good one. isht had some predictable twists + a love story but Vine Rhames & Larry Fishburne did their DAMN thang (thats B.S.P. BABY!!).  

Can I add to the must see cla**ics: Love & Basketball (oh sweaty ball playing Shania... 8O )

+ How come there are no African cla**ics suggested here? I mean there is an infinite number of sources for international (read: American) cla**ic movie recommendations but few & far between African ones.

- cry freetown (not for sensitive viewers - about the ma**acres in freetown, sierra leone. there is some footage of people being executed on the streets)
- shooting bokkie (this film is shot in real time and is about the use of children as hitmen in the cape flats by gangs because they were not at risk of prosecution - they are known as shooting bokkie. in one scene this kid runs into a store and kills the owner - the cameraman at one point refuses to be part of the movie because there could be legal / criminal implications should the footage make it to the police. at some point the kid wants to turn on the film maker and the crew)
