the first mag i bought was YO!

i admit i bought that for the posters, man gone are the days when i used to have naughty by nature and slick rick up on my wall.  

another one was the source magazine, when it was still skinny.

My first rap mags were bought from these shops that sold books by the kilo. Way back. I usually managed to get copies of HIPHOP CONNECTION, the british magazine. We could sometimes even get mags from as far as the bay area at these kilo shops. It all changed after the rand dropped to the floor and imports became expensive. I remember spending days without eating just to get those mags.

i have to say after reading the source for a couple of months i was blown away by a magazine called strees magazine and i´t´s a pity i only owend one copy
