i dunno bout you..but i use the two tools for totally different things..

i edit sometimes sample my shit using cool edit, all my mastering and i do on cool edit..

with fruity loops i create my loops, by loading samples(drums and ba**line) that i have esampled using cool edit .....i dunnoif you can really compare the two

Forget both of em. You need to get Acid Pro 6.0.

I like and use both of them for different things.

I record my samples from vynil using Audacity. Then i import the sample into CoolEdit, where i do my noise reduction, time-stretching and equalising.

Then i use the sample as the main part of my song in Fruitloops, where i add my drum tracks. Then i play the ba**line using my MIDI Keyboard.

yea its advised u use both!! Cool edit is more of a sound editor than a production tool, whilst Fruity is for production!!!

Its alwasy recommended to have a good piece of production equipment used in combination with a equally good sound editor.

i only have fruity loops and ejays
up to so far i only use fruity loops and its hard at first but once you understand  it you can shake the world

SPOG WILL FOREVER BE USING FRUITyLOOPS. BUT ONCE IVE MASTERED IT, I MIGHT HOOK UP THE SP1200´s and the MPC´s thats if my beatmaking goes anywhere besides 4 getting groupies wit them.
