After listening to the first IQ mixtape recently i heard a track where the producer himself (IQ) spat a battlescript with a number of punchlines, one in particular: "You gotta front like D12 just to find your a** a band", and i'm feeling that line. Which producer from anywhere in SA is the tightest spitter?

Hoodlum and Gemini. Heard hoodlum’s club joint this weekend. Tight. Hoodlum – who spits like he did on Kung Fu & still makes beats like Imagery (that Zubz song). Hoodie knows his stuff. Not getting into the played out debate, he is also UnderMercial (UNDEGROUND & COMMERCIAL). Dude can be on some commercial Tsukutsa tip today and be on some Consciousness (the mind track) tip the next day.

Gemini – underrated, but kills many on production and lyrically. “My style is like an ungly hooker with Aids, now who’s f***ing with that” on the groundworks CD.

Is that landmynz MC the same cat who makes their beats? If so he is on point.

Konfab – I feel his rhyming more than his beats. Haven’t listened to Kaptain’s beats,  – maybe I have & don’t know that its his. What track has he produced on his upcoming album?
Battlekat – feel his beats much more than the occasional times he rhymes. On production, Tongagara is too nice.

AMU –not the best in either, but he makes tracks I feel from time to time. Both for himself and others.

Infa & Slikour have their days. Just listen to Khut and joyn. Had the illest rhymes and banging beats (rau rau, manyisa, etc)

co-sig that!
hip hop is my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the lines and curl my back to reality-
the beat washes away from my soul the dust of everyday life-
Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent!
