Just out of curiousity.....I'm gonna ask this question:

Is Horrorcore popular in Africa? I know that most heads here are familiar with Necro and the whole Uncle Howie camp and some others may remember the Gravediggaz (cla**ic), but what about the Insane Clown Posse??

I remember them from their appeances at WCW and WWF (now WWE) wrestling matches but I didn't really get into them until 5 years ago. Their music was pretty cool at first at a time when almost everyone hated (and still hates) them until I found out the one of my friends that I haven't seen in years was a Juggalo (a fan of ICP). I would say that ICP are ok but stay away from Juggalos. These are people who take ICP to heart (even though not all ICP fans aren't that zealous). Juggalos like my friends play nothing but ICP and everything from Psycopath Records 'till you become sick of it !

What? No one here has heard of the Insane Clown Posse? I know that
they've reached some heads outside of the US (Europe and Australia) but
the haven't hit Africa yet?

i remember icp.they used to be on this whole "dark carnival" mission.
i remember doing some research on them a few years back and they were supposedly only ever going to release a total of seven albums(if i'm wrong correct me)i know the number was supposed to be limited though.

werent they also supposed to be under the leadership of the dark ringmaster (duh!) or something.
they always struck me as more of a heavy metal outfit than a "rap" crew as such.

Yeah, they seem to have more of a Heavy Metal rock influence as well as
Horrorcore Hip-Hop but then again, Necro also has that influence in some of his songs.

Believe it or not, the "Dark Carnival" is supposed to represent God. Their whole following is based on Judaism, Christianity, and Islam but not directly. Their whole belive is based on their 7 CDs labled as "Joker's Cards". I began to like the whole concept until I ran into some Juggalos
who took that shit deeply.

True that!! lol Juggalos can be ok but they can be some of the most annoying people!!! They take ICP to heart. Did you know that ICP
have subliminal messages when you playback some of their songs?

I also meant to mention that the subliminal message stuff also scared the crap outta me when I found out when Violent J yells "Die you f***in' piece of shit bastard!!!!". I didn't know who he was yelling at, probably at Eminem? (ICP also have beef with Em. It goes way back when he was just a local MC in Detroit).

i heard that too.
"the die you...." bit i can see as "talk" mc's do when they beef.

the back-masking technique has been around a while in hiphop too.
if you check out some of aesop rock's meterial you might pick it up as well.

Yip ICP
The dudes who did the track
"Hi my Name is -Chickichicki- Slim Anus"
The Jekyll brothers were their coolest shit along with The Great Milenko
If you listen to Eminem's Marshall Mathers track on the Marshall Mathers LP you'll notice Eminem dissing ICP's vocalists Violent Jay and Shaggy (also on the Ken Kaniff skit it's ICP who's suckin Em's dick)
These dudes make great music - one of them sort of sounds like a rappin' version of Vin Diesel - just listen carefully.

PS. I'm a Juggalo BITCH
very1 is entitled 2 my opinion

Yeah, they wrestle. They got a wrestling federation called JCW, Juggalo ChampionShit Wrestling.

They also used to star on WWF and WCW at one
point. Believe it or not, ICP also have a local show on Detroit Public Access TV.

No doubt, ICP make good music. At least it's better than listening
to mainstream radio because pop fans are afraid of them. I was
also a Juggalo at one point because I once was an outcast. Its just
that some of the Juggalos I met that that shit way too far. Not all
Juggalos do.

I also liked that ICP diss to Aftermath Records called "Ain't nothin
but a bitch thang". In the begining of the song, Violent J
plays Dr. Dre (Dr. Gay) raping Eminem. It was a pretty funny
diss.
