Peeped the trilogy this week for the 1st time ever..OMG!!!
Too dope for rehab!!
Who else seen this?
highs and lows for ya? This flick felt a bit too real though. Found myself completely immersed in the story line! No particular star stood out for me tho. The almost all played equally important roles.
A definite must see
iv got a fire in my heart and your critism fans it!

enjoyed the first one thoroughly... remember the phrase:  "luco brazzi sleeps with the fishes tonight"

I thought i should bring this thread back also have the trilogy just for keeps, Hey guys who else do u think is still alive from the First Godfather besides Al Pacino. RIP GODFATHER aka Marlon Brando. There are so many cla**ic scenes there like where Father and son (Godfather and Pacino) reshuffling the future family business plans before Godfather dies, kinda reminds of Johnny Depp in Blow meeting Escobar, and Tony Montana discussing business with Sousa.

The trilogy is too ill. :o
The first was cla**ic. The second one wasn't as good though. But the third :o :o :o, it wasn't the typical little Italy Michael Corleone we learnt to love but it was so crazy. Sonny's kid had to have been my favourite character. The one main problem though was that they started to lose focus and started getting carried away with the whole fancy hollywood effects thing e.g. The helicopter shooting scene.

Nonetheless........ It was good.

The endings of one and three really hit me hard though. Damn! :-\

Part 1 is my favorite movie of all time. It's generally considered the best movie of all time by most critics.
Check out the Internet Movie Database - they got a 250 Top Movies Chart there - http://www.imdb.com

Ya'll are bugging, Part 2 is just as cla**ic. Showing how Don Corleone Came up in the game. Too sick. The first movie Robert De Niro and Pacino ever did together, but never appeared in a single scene at once. Crazy. De Niro even won an Oscar for his portrayal of a young Vito Corleone. The whole thing with Hyman Roth(who was based on real life gangsta Meyer Lansky) and Cuba also brought a dose of real events into the whole movie. My favorite scene has to be where Frank Pentangeli is about to testify against the Michael in front of a commitee, and all of sudden Michael walks in with Frank's Brother, who's a big Don in Sicily and dude doesn't even know English. Frank sees them and immediately changes his whole story. Show's you the power of Family Ties in Italian culture.

Third was good, but nowhere near the first two.I like that they take it back to the "Country". Francis Coppola's daughter sucks though as Mary Corleone, but Garcia shines through on this one.

CLa**IC !!!!!

i think part one is my favourite movie of all time too. but i enjoyed the whole trilogy. i dont know, maybe i read into it too deeply. but i picked up on so many life themes in the trilogy.

its crazy how michaels character progresses from a simple fun loving guy who wasnt interested in his fathers 'business' at first, to becoming this dark sinister, emotionless guy, and then almost back to the person he was at first, the few years before his death, when he tried to right the wrongs he had done, although by then it was too late.
it was ill how he was haunted by killing his own brother even though he just gave the order and didnt pull the trigger.

it makes you wonder what all this hustle of life is really for. he had accumilated all that wealth, but died like a dog in those dusty streets. with no wife, or children around him even. lol at the dog that pissed on him when he died though hahaha.

oh! and garcias character was ice cold in that scene where he gets hold of those burglars that tried to kill him hahaha

Part 1 also had some "real characters" incorporated into it. The character of Moe Green was based on Bugsy Siegel, the dude who was largely responsible for the development of Las Vegas into the City it is today. He's the dude that get's shot in the eye in Part I.
