someone is boud to have done a presantation..NOW thats a good invention. google is something else...the last time I wrote serious code was when I was writting a process that tunneled through our fire wall..the rest? www.google.com "helping clever coders write less code"

i dont know what the angle for your presentation is, but have you noticed how many things we have in our homes (inventionwise ) were prevoiusly military?

like:
computers - during world war 2 Americas Defense Department needed an easier way to sort out their firing / ballistic calculatiosn so 2 guys @ University of Pennsylvania found a solution for the Defense Department's dilemma. In 1946, they developed a computer n calculator thing.

internet - u.s defense based closed system

so thats mostly technology wise, but im sure there are other examples.
