Guys...I dont mean to reign on Pro's parade...He is one of the tightest in mzantzi, if not Africa. But heres a question.....Wheres the growth? Wheres the growth between The book and the Manuscript?

Pro is no doubt one of the best at punchline rapping, but dont you guys feel he's sometimes limited by that?

I'm officially impressed.

As someone who has never been a big Proverb fan, I was apprehensive. But Manuscript rights all the wrongs of Book of Proverb (which was nowhere near as good as everyone thought) and then some. The production, verses, flow and concepts are all top notch, and it comes together as a well thought-out, enjoyable and highly listenable package.

We'll have to wait a while to see if it deserves cla**ic status, but for now it's an essential purchase.

I copied the album from a friend on Christmas eve, there is absolutely no difference between this one and the first one. This dude and his friend epitomise the gentrified essence of South African hip hop. Mizi gives him the cover and now does promotions for him on AG. Hype, it seems will continue being a publication for quasi celebrity production. Under Fungay's reign anyone and everyone wit a track on radio was profiled, now under Mizi it seems we'd have to endure the valorazation of these so called 'underground cats'.

listened to the album and liked it! its proVerb doin what he does! he didnt stray too far from his formula! i respect that! some of these cats out there should learn from pro to perfect their styles instead of tryin to sound like kwaito so they get on radio! proVerb is doin it his way and persevering through all the bullshit! thats what u call an mc!

id love to hear him work with new producers tho, cos the beats picked are in his comfort zone! that canibus rza-wu tang 9th wonder primo kind of flava!

id like to hear a joint with a dirty south flava or timbaland type flava, even maybe a little jazze phizzle or omen type sound with pro rippin it!

otherwise! props to nyambs and proChrist(homeboys from Umtata)
