Quick question here ...is it me or is every nice hip hop or Rap sort of club or joint in Cape town there seems to be some ill treatent being administrered by the bouncers ...

I've gotten to point where i dont go out anymore because these bouncer seem to be on a war path with some of us ...

i was merely engaging with the subject matter
what i dislike most is the way they collect money at the door and claim it's for the artists
i peformed at counless sessions there and recieved not one cent
so what's the point of misinformation

enough nagging for the moment though
don't want to misrepresent myself any further
however i think the only way cape town hiphop will progress as an industry
is if the heads themelves empower the scene by holding matinees as was done before, as well as lockdown venues that can be exclusively hphop orientated
by the heads for the heads
this is something which i feel is not out of our grasp
since currently the city appears to be largely opposed to the genre
that's why you don't see us staying in cpt full time because it's not beneficial to our careers

2 weeks ( st patricks day) ago when i was in town i witnessed a great deal of violence, it had nothing to do with bouncers though, some rasta coloured dude named "midas" (or something to that effect, thats what his boys called him) got beat up really bad, i have always enjoyed to watch people fighting and never gave a f*** who won, but i felt sorry for him...they ripped his dreadlocks out by hand....i saw one lock lying on the floor....i was like.....i'm so glad i'm jewish, i rock fake dreads attached to my stetson hat, and i would have bought my way out....
