I dont undastand why most ppl consider Shovel JUST a battle cat, or some1 who is loved by battle cats. Dude is well rounded, he got a lot of tracks that he is not kicking battle scripts, like "Let there be light", "Evergreen" or the track on Definitive where he is talking bout the girls he has dated in his life and the "Destiny" remix with Pebbles.

Dude is one of the tightest mcees SA has to offer. He been tight since 96 Dude is mad consistent. Definately not boring

I havn't been in touch with SA Hiphop but it has undoubtedly exploded but FAR too many of these "MC's" are not South African if we can call them that, only two or 3 MC's I listen to from SA are Isaac Mutant, Tumi and hav'nt heard proverbs album he is a good MC but the accent just throws me off on headrush he sucks on that show. Anyway right now for me Isaac is destroying everyone, maybe just a pity that he rips i n afrikaans but hey, I understand him he talks about relative issues and in my dialect. Tumi kills it I actually bought that Tumi and the volume cd, the ONLY SA cd i ever bought so that says alot. Could anyone perhaps tell me where I can get news and details of gigs going down in CT. Besides the one scheduled for this weekend...
