Is there a way to make the scratches sound a bit more full? Maybe leaving the crossfader open a microsecond longer?
If I may give in my 2 cents worth, I think it depends, but scratches shud also be treated in a mix, so they wont clip or anything. In my opinion, they must be set on a diff. channel, so the mix can fit in, then you can fill them up.....hope you get it....Im not perfect in mastering, but I do mixdowns well.
I don't speak from experience here (like you I'm a producer first and a DJ second!)
I myself became a producer after years of dj'ing experiences...but I dont do dj'ing much as before tho! Therefore, the art of putting dj'ing and producing together is not really difficult 4 me.
And, as for the track Mr.C did...its going to be blazing if the mix is done well...foreal!
