Heh heh, nice one TNG. Big ups to both you and Second Son. Keep that hot sh*t rolling out, here´s to the next mixtape.
Seriously though, I need to do some sh*t with you guys, I´ve been pretty lazy recently. I still reserve the Huff and Puff beat for Thunder God though, looking to be a killer track. Anyways, in the UK right now, hit you boys up when I´m back in the Gspot.

Peace One

Damn homie!! Thunder God. I could´nt have thought of a more appropriate title with that touch of weather thing going on in that beat. Can´t wait to hear the track, I know you´ll be killing it as usual & ofcourse the beat has been kept aside as requested. When u get back to Gtown holla immediately so we can make a plan. Everyone´s schedules is looking to get more hectic. Here´s to the next mixtapes. Best believe this year it´s on! Lets light fire under these peoples´ backs man!
P.S.Don´t know how it is in London, but it´s freaken freezing here. But u know Gtown.

big up to the innovators

hip hop is my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the lines and curl my back to reality-
the beat washes away from my soul the dust of everyday life-
Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent!

Props to TNG and Second Son
I got a copy of "sick with the flow" from Tate last week, It´s ill, I´m feeling Some you swear to be MC´s everything about it just fits, the beat, the lyrics the flow!
I´m feeling the beats, they´re all Innovators beats right?
where did you cats record? the sound quality is good.

EARCANDY
Track3-Some you swear to be MC´s
Track4-Bubonic Chronic(the first  MC takes a few lines to get started but once it picks up it is ill)
Track9-Can´t see you

What exactly is the publishing deal with African Dope about?, what is the relationship? what do you gain and what do they gain? I´m just trying to understand what a publishing deal is!

What up Silent Warcry. Glad you feeling the mixtape. No doubt more coming.
All the beats are produced by The Innovators. We basically record in THe Innovators lab (*insert wherever we can set up our equipment with the least noise interference at the time).
The Publishing deal with African Dope simply means that should anyone at anytime anywhere in the world jack anthing of ours in the slightest form, they got our backs and we can look forward to a big payday. i.e. they´re providing protection. + should there be any businesses that want to do business in terms of using our sounds for adverts, movies, jingles whatever, the paper work goes through them.
With publishing you also enjoy other benefits such as royalties for airplay on radio and t.v. They collect these for us. In return they get a negotiated percentage of these publishing royalties. That goes for any use whatsoever
of the works. Hope that answers your question.

I see your earcandy selections are  :-Z Some of you swear to be mcs, Bubonic Chronic, Can´t you see. Big ups man, keep bumpin´ that shizzay!

Did Rob come up with that beat? I was thinking it could have done with a little better rhyming than the random freestyle yall did over it. I take it this means it will actually be used for a song at some point right? Whats this Thundergod concept Rob? I hope that means the hiphocalypse mixtape is in the works...

Yo, bigups to the support of our latest mixtapes people. It´s all good.
The Huff & Puff freestyle beat is another Innovators production. But Rob One has a concept for that & so it´s going to become a fully fledged track.

When we were in production for Sick With THe FLow, Second Son warned me about this backlash that huff &puff is getting. & I percisted that we went along and dropped 1 freestyle on the mixtape. I pushed for it, and we just went Rercord and did it. Now the backlash is here and here are my reasons.
:-Z In this artform, mcs are encrouraged to constantly push their limits, bring something new to the table, don´t just stay in the safe zone, take a risk.
:-Z Tiger Woods bio states that in his development, the way in which he became stronger and better is that he would DIRECTLY ATTACK his weaknesses and work at them until they become a strenght. I believ that is how you grow and become stronger and well-rounded. i don´t believ in the whole, owe that ain´t your thing don´t go there, that´s bs. Next it´s don´t try make this kind of beat, the jazz influenced drumming in the BEAT for Dream would have not happened if it was for staying in the safe zone. What I´m saying is, there´s a lot of pushing the boundaries that we did on the production of a lot of those joints on the mixtape. But this is the only one taking the flack (oh as well as Story). But that´s the stuff, the strong and risk taking is made off. Until a nigga can be off-the top with it like Shady and Mandrax, you know I´ll be wokring on that weakness.

Hey all

Quick background for Tate. Thunder God is a track I came up with after listening to one too many Last Emp mixes. I´d already told TNG and Second Son that I wanted to do something over the Huff and Puff Beat, and Thunder God to me just fit instantly. So no, it isn´t my beat (wish it was) but I am very grateful to the Innovators for setting it aside for me.
About the backlash, my response is, who gives a flying f*ck? What backlash? About what? The beat is incredible, and what´s wrong with a little freestyle? So what if some people weren´t impressed, different strokes for different folks. I realise I´ll probably get some flack for this, but I don´t give a rats continental.
I´ll do the track and then heads can compare. Look out for the Hiphocalypse Mixtapes featuring Rob One, Mentalyriscist and the Innovators and co. Should be tight!
