I am probably the most amazing creature that God ever created, what do you think?

I agree with you totally you are amazing.

the beef was how colored folk will gladly accept they white ansestry and TOTALLY shun and look down upon they black ancestory they were disgusted by the black in them and that obviouly means they would totally detest a black person, I can understand the pure owner of this planet(i.e the white man that some of our people idolize to the point of inducing bile extrectment) would look down upon a savage monkey like me but coloreds looking down on blacks is laughable.

the colored dude proceeds to tell me I am what wrong with this country "you blacks don't wanna speak out languages...ek is Afrikanner.."I exited and this is the same dude who while talking with his white friends freely spews the the k****** word ..he unforunatly is not a minory I hjave encounted a lot of this attitude type colored folk..

Thanks, but back to the topic at hand.

Unfortunately this is true of a lot of colooured folks and I think it is still a remnanat of the whole divide and rule policy of apartheid. Under the previous regime coloured people were told that they were better and that they somehow deserve to be treated better than the "monkeys" which are blacks. This was done in order to divide the strengths of the ma**ively overwhelming black population and have an ally in coloured folks. Sadly, som eof them were stupid enough to fall for it, which is why you still have coloureds who call other black people k******. You even have coloureds who refer to other coloured as such or as "boesman". This usually happens in situations where the one has straight hair and is lighter of complexion than the other.

There was a lot of friction in  coloured communities in the past because of shit like this. In my dad's family, some members were cla**ified as "Cape Coloured", while others were considered "Other Coloured". Even brothers and sisters were cla**ified differently based on how their features were judged by whoever was in the Home Affairs office. So, osme people in the coloured community naturally had a more consciouss outlook on what was going down, while those who were getting the preferential treatment fell for the bullshit and instilled this same f***ed up mentality in their kids.

I have cousins who often use the K-word and they know that I dont appreciate that shit. I've had to go through a lot of drama for dating black girls and shit and at some point I even refused to f*** with coloured girls, cos I found them extremely superficial (A few years ago, one wanted to hook up with me, until I took off my hoodie and she realised that I have a huge "kroes" afro. She told me straight up that she only does guys wiuth straight hair. I said, "well f*** your superficial a** then" and f***ed her friend.

Yeah, to make along rant short, its inherited bullshit, that's causing shit for people now, until parents stop teaching their kids this superiority bullshit, it wont stop. Look at coloured folks from Lesotho, they were never treated any different from other black folk, so they dont have any of these complexes.

I know its easy to blame apartheid for a lot of shit, but this is one of those that will take a very long time to go away.

I've found that most often the coloured people that are most racist are the ones in the major centres like Cape Town and Jo'burg.

hahahahaha dude stop puttng gay shit in my mouth.

Yes I have met colored peeps from other African countries and they are different from the Kape Kolored...the colourd cats from Swaziland are amabutho (i.e they have pleged alligence to die fro king Mswati and have been recruited in one of his many regiment) colored from other African countries that I have met (like the bicthes I am hanging with now) are ofended if you call them colored they regard themselves as black which I think is a result of the one one drop rule..I.e if you have a drop of non white bood you black...(the one colored chick from Zim had to tell me she was colored I just a**umed she was black coz she spoke Swati like I would...later she sort of flipped her accent when a colored friend of hers cam and I was like hey..she like ..They call me colored coz honstly I am coloed but I am still black..etc etc....that how I always a**umed ALL coloed folk were supposed to be)

Beesting I accept that u don't comprehend my point, I'm glad that other people like Bricks and Dplanet get what I'm sayin despite their disagreements- which I repect. I don't recall pronouncin ma education level at any point in this discussion, u got issues watch Dr Phil!
I was taught to exit from engagements when people start catchin feelings. And for what it's worth, my opinions and world outlook is not informed by books, which I read religiously, but by my ACTUAL experience with the world.

Azanian Souljahs,

I'd like to track back on this discussion a little, someone mentioned that talks of colonial masters repatriation to their land of descent would cripple the argument of OUR LAND(IZWE LETHU), as the "khoi-San" are the original inhabitants of this region. Right. Listen rooineks en dutch land snatchers, first and forthmost, these people u refer to are actaully AmaQhakankcwa and Abathwa. Secondly, as is the case with the nguni tribes that migrated here at the begining of the 12th century, these tribes u refer to As khoi originate in the highlands of the Great Lakes of East Africa. I,m trying to show you that this land is vast and all the tribes of africa roamed freely within it, from Cape to Cairo. Don.t make the mistake of calling them coloured either, these are straighy up nubians, the similarity in great egyptian dialect and mordern Qhakankcwa proves this relevant. now, who is the invader?

Who do you think the portuguese encounted at cape point 1497?Also, to prove further, nguni tribes inherited the click in their dialect from the Qhakankcwa through inter relations, meaning these people are one. I repeat ,who is the Invador, colonial masters?

the only people who are on point on this thread are Beesting, blaklez, briCK, melanin latte, and solarman.

Dplanet, i copped the a**ault and it was dope. i respect your work but im disappointed by your politics. they're really apologist and myopic, a sign that you're not really being honest with yourself. you have a sense of "right" and "truth" as paternalistic and detrimental as your forefathers.

pyroKINETIX: your shit doesnt surprise me. no matter how "concious" coloureds get, they remain beneath a really low ceiling. you have a dual ancestory, you come from something negative (something you should accept) but you fight against it and as a result negate your own growth. this makes you as confused as you sound.

SIN, my man, with this youve proven my suspicions: youre a f***ing joke. wake up. ive read what you have trust me. over and over, and i can safely say that all you get from it is regurgitation. youre a sad case: the real neo-africanist who supposes self-reflexivity, in and of itself, as a way forward. you are what you hate: an africanist kid piecing himself together with texts. you are saying nothing that hasnt been said and published by someone else. the difference being that they probably thought instead of just recited. roman slaves? why? you are not "there" yet. continue searching for yourself cause right now you seem really f***ing pitiful; a reason why people should actually be adverse to books. you litter fanon's name across your shit but your posts suggest that youve had the most superficial and elementary readings of his work. you just use all of it to uselessly mark yourself as having read more and thus knowing more, which if you were really black, youd see as sacriledge.

I just read through this whole thread again. Can you please explain where exactly my points display apologist tendencies? Also, where is my "sense of 'right' and 'truth' manifested", and how do you interpret this as paternalistic?

These are honest questions.

(Thanks for copping the a**ault).

I missed that. Truly a sad and depressing statement. I agree,,, truly a low point in AG's history.

i re-read this and i have to apologize. i went in a bit over my head. id been drinking. anyway im glad pyroKINETIX didnt dignify it with a response. i didnt mean it the way it came across, but i made it deliberately ambiguous to elicit a venomous response that would match how i felt at the time. this is the same reason i deliberately mis-read D's post and also went off so venomously at SIN (i apologize to you too, bra).

so. why did i do it and what did i mean? well, i did it out of frustration. being black, sometimes you get tired of rhetoric. youre pushed down so low and unceasingly that you want to say f*** it and f*** everyone. its a matter of the pride the world tries to snatch from us every f***ing second we're awake. anyway, i know that parroting bigotry is the biggest compliment to oppression and its continuation so let me explain why i said it. with no bullshit.

firstly i only gleaned pyro's post and in truth i wasnt even replying to it. the word coloured was meant to be just that. a word that suffocates people into a race-caste. much like black etc. it was supposed to mean what people think of when they use race-castes and how people think of themselves when they identify themselves with them. on a level thats subconscious and conscious. my point was because of how these shits came about and what they mean now, if anyone stands under them they remain under a really low ceiling. and i believe this applies to all of us because at this age and having lived (and living) in society this long, a complete exorcism of the demons of the past is unlikely. at best we can only tolerate ourselves and each other really well: complete realization is some far off shit. these things feed into society and every single f***ing thing we do. its just a matter of whether or not you give a shit about "complete realization" that makes you frustrated or over it. either way, theres other aspects of human interaction that don't destroy, but entwine and over shadow this shit, so its always better to try than take shortcuts.

my homie Dplanet sent me a message about this here comment and well, ...sigh ...  :-\

we allow a racist, hateful blog to spark the worst in us. i don't understand how, as someone who claims to be a hiphop head, you can make a statement like the one above. the best rappers in the US would have all been cla**ified "coloured" if they were born in SA. so too Malcolm X, Frantz Fanon etc.! shame one you!   :'(

trust me, it's not the first time i've heard this come out of someone's mouth and i have also heard the id been drinking excuse. this kind of talk will get us nowhere but further from the goal.

your argument about people from "race-castes" having a low ceiling is really weak and essentialist. you a**ume that every person who identifies as black/coloured/xhosa thinks and behaves in the same way. well, clearly we don't!

the stereotypes, embodied in as you put it "race-castes", are what the system has fed us and the longer we believe and perpetuate them, the longer apartheid's masters will be smiling.
