Vinyl Pressing

Where can an artist do vinyl pressing in south africa? What are the price ranges?

I always here people complaining that it´s difficult, expensive, etc... but reason, I don´t know.

Sorry but it can only be d0ne overseas....or u can do it in Zim but the quality is crap...and oh yes the overseas thing is in bulk....like 1000 copies of a song at R39 each...so if u doing it to distribute then its worth it, if not play it on cd

But why is there no vinyl pressing plant in South Africa, too expensive? But this is an opportunity for entrepeneurs and there is a huge market in the House scene and in the Hiphop scene.

I heard Oscar (from kalawa records) say that he knew the guy who use to own them. They say that he sold them because the vinyl industry was nosediving when they introduced CD. I guess that was the best time to buy some.

I read theres some people who make the masters at home with a lathe for a hobby.
