Marley Marl didnt introduce sampling to Hip Hop. Acts were already sampling, what Marley did was start samplin the kicks and snares off records and breaks and re-did his own drum patterns with them. So while everyone was using breaks and loops he was creating his own drum patterns with the kicks and snares he lifted. Well thats my understanding, i could be wrong, but sampling definitly happened before Marley.
