But i guess the guys compiling it work based on their OWN PERSONAL TASTE. Theres TOO much underground shit!

Clearly ur more of an underground hiphop rugged style cat, so u liked the mixtape....the key is to have a mixtape that the club/crunk heads like,the undergr heads like,and the commercial vernac kwaihoppers like. its clear the compilers ears are more towards the underground scene!

but like i said on previous threads, its a challenge for us ARTISTS, to get the compilers tuned in!!!!
I'll keep submitting tracks, so far ive handed HYPE staff more than 30 tracks and got 1 track placed.ie. "The Monopoly - A BOY - feat IGHO" . Wud hav loved them to slot in our hits like "The M.o.n.o.p.o.l.y", "Voilent Change","Get ya Money","Crack 101",Nigga Please","Rise of a King"(which was supposedly placed then removed in Dec)

 Yeah, I'm more into that kind of music than I am into these new styles. in fact, i have only recently (last 4 months or so) started coming across these new styles & artists. i have heard some horrible tracks from Soulja Boy and the like. some right here on AG.

anyway, the issue is probably more about the DJs or the themes. I hear the Crunk theme will only take place when Crazy Lu turns 18.  Whatever theme they have chosen, probably influences track selection. how does it really work e.g. does Hype give DJs tracks to mix / compile. or does the DJ find the tracks and works with hype to put it all together. coz I was surprised to hear that Raiko left out that "Broadcasting live from inside the Space Craft" track from Age of Horus. (Turns out to be one of my favourite Hymphatic Tabs joints from the album). so ja, how does it work?
