Reason 3 Problem

Yo is there any kat whos using Reason 3 ? Im having problem. When I try to edit the drum from Reddrum the siound doesn't come out and yes the Preferances are alright. Help

Stupid question - has the redrum machine been selected for the sequencer track you're editing in?

Im currently usin' FL Studio.
 Duhhhhh of coz its selected that what confuses me the most.

I have a similar problem that occurs when I try to play the redrum on my keyboard - for some reason every time I hit a note all the Mute buttons on the redrum light up! Weird, especially since the other instruments play fine.

Anyway, my thoughts:

- Check the cabling at the back
- Reset all prerences and work from the ground up
- Head over to reasonfreaks.com and search their forums, loads of tips and hints.

Anybody got any more practical suggestions?

For the Reason problem, if u r using FLStudio, its most likely a rewiring issue. Check the help in fruity, it will give u step by step(REWIRE). Are you using a mixer in reason or just the redrum alone?

For Rob_Ones MIDI keyboard issue, your item is perfect, keep switching octaves (up or down) till you hear a sound. Make sure that there are samples loaded on the redrum.

Thanks mate. How do you switch octaves (spot the newbie!) is it just a case of going up or down on the keyboard? Tried that and it didn't change anything.

This usually occurs when you dont have a mixer inserted first.

also make sure that there is a patch in  ur redrum, and dont forget to click on run.

there is (should be), a button on the actual keyboard that say something like (+1 and -1), or something of that nature. Better yet, give me the make & model of your item, & ill check it out.

I last used reason 4 years back, like Owam said, check to make sure the mixer is inserted and double check your preferences.

If all that fails, send the propellerhead folder to the recycle bin and install FL 8, it does pretty as much what reason can do and much more. Lack of accepting VST plugins makes reason shity...
