Quick question:Does everyone here mix and master there own tracks and who actually goes to professional studios and lets the engineers do it for them?

I simply don't have the funds for professional mastering - and frankly, it's something I should be able to do myself, if not professionally, then at least competently.

I would definitley send stuff to Dplanet or Hipe for mixing. I trust their ears.
I'm investing though; start a ProTools/studio practice tertiary course next month for ten weeks, mastering cla** next year.

tippy toes was poorly mixed. the vocals are really low. does anyone else notice this or is it how the radio version is? or maybe my car speakers?
