but then why are MC´s always trying to push their ´realness´ on ´down with it ness´. Always trying to push their cred, although for most its largely a fabrication. Its weird, the whole artform centres around overinflating ones ego, ones mic ripping capacity. and then if u dont want to do that, its kind of like you are actually steppin out of the mode.
i mean, hip hop is more than ghetto, but the acting ghetto is the way to legitimise oneself.... except Hymphatic Tabs...

thats what makes the difference between....Aesop Rock and Busta..

Aesop is the far superior lyricist...but Busta is a better MC...he says hes real and he means and comes across as real...as an Mc all you have is your cred and realness..if you dont push it no one wil push it for you.....thats why theres battles if you an MC you have to be the shrpest or just dont even think of been an MC..its not a pa** time..it hard been an MC...

This will sound contradictory but its not...Be Humble but dont let anyone f*** with you as an MC...shine brigh but becareful not to waste it...

there are no rules in battles...i was raised in street..and you had no choice but to battle..in my hood it got to a point where when you walked out your lab some upcomming cat would step to you onsome..batle me..and you know you cant say know coz its your cred on the line and ..so you had to be alwayssharp...so i suppose it all depends on your hood or where you hang..i can safley say i aint shook to battle no body..if you really good just make sure you donr slip up coz if you do you done..ask ...the list is veeeeery long..there is no cat that out there that i have not battled..that was then tho right now there tooo many stupid no good for nothing tryna rap...kids..its about skill and practice and saying f*** you to a cat to his face...with respect ofcource...God i miss JSec...dunno what the f***s happened now..

well as i have seen...the weak cat is the one who has random rhymes memorised to pull out in battle... and then they go blank or something coz they cant think on their feet...
ya sure there´s no rules in battle... except that one cat will prevail...
however becoz i dont come from some neighbourhood where hip hop is a street thing... more like kwaito maskandi and gospel... its all new... and then at open mic you´re like... "damn, i cant call people that, i can say that about his mother..."
its weird... ya, im one of those hip hop hanger onners... for now that is.... watch this space....
