Pioneer Unit is proud to announce that we have completed a deal with Driemanskap.

Hailing from Gugulethu, Cape Town, Driemanskap is a 4-man crew made up of members El Nino, Ma-B, Redondo and Dla. Together they form the vanguard of the new generation of proudly South African Hip Hop artists who understand that Hip Hop, more than any other musical art form, is about addressing important issues and representing where you’re from.

Driemanskap are one of the pioneers of the Spaza movement, representing Cape Town with a rhyme style that combines their mother tongue, isiXhosa, with English and Cape Flats slang.

We plan to release Driemanskap's long-awaited full debut album, Igqibhukile Inyongo, in the first quarter of 2009. Expect a lot of new material before then though.

Say D, I've been thinking. 50 Cent has his Formula 50; I reckon I can work with you to release Formula D (or Formula P, I'm not fussy) vitamin water. We could flood (snigger snigger) the marker sometime in the third quarter of '09.

Think! We could have Ben Sharpa do endorsements: "When I'm running from them shady jobby job carbon copy cops, Formula D keeps me at peak condition! Tasty and satisfying!"

You should think about it. We could make Monopoly money off it.

(Oh and well done on Drie I suppose...)

dopeness, now i understand why you kept quiet on one of the posts when i asked howcome you havent signed Drie, them cats is the truth. big ups to all involved that i hope will really grow HH. just a note to watchout for, my highlight, i hope the album doesnt go to print whith that name, its a misspelling, its supposed to be written as "Igqabhukile" meaning its burst. anyhow good looking out
