Thats rough man.... I myself am tryin figure out why my desktop just wont recognise my 160gig pa**port drive as a hard drive,... i mean it sees it and recognises it as a western digital external storage unit, BUT it wont let me look at the contents and yet my device manager tells me its in perfect working order!!! The exasperation is tangible........ so i empathise.
