Had a ma**ive show last friday.

As you know, the Headwarmaz is all about promoting the cats who are hungry for exposure but are sticking to the fundamentals and spirit of the real hip-hop.

We would like to make sure that all angles of the country are coverd. That means, we want to ensure that Cape Town headz are exposed to what is happening outside the borders so we can prevent them from falling into the same ol' traps.

The email is headwarmaz@gmail.com

Would like to thank all the cats that have already sent  their tracks and bios to the address.

The tracks played on the last episode of the Headwarmaz were...

King Daniel - Thembi

Playing Fields Initiative (PFC) - Disputing claims

PFC - Wavering flag

S.S.K - Rhanga to rhanga

Quietude - Time travel

The Roots - Dear God

The Roots - Right on

ATCQ - Stressed out

Ill-Skills - Buzzay and berserk

Lupe Fiasco - Sunshine

Nas & Damien Marley - Friends

Rattex - Xenophobia

De la soul - Trying People

Slum village - Don't sell yourself

Axo - Story of my life

Jargon - Lathi tha iLanga

Taycee - Maz'bamuke

Uzwi Kantu ft. Nobuhle - Hlonipani

R-block - Sthandwa sam

Mic Substance ft. Kanyi & Zanzolo - I'm the reason (rmx)

We will be looking to start the podcast at the beginning of August. Watch this space

On the next episode of the Headwarmaz we are planning to take on some issues vigorously. The World Cup is over and done, and South Africa has come back to life with a violent jerk. Threats of xenophobia fill the air and people are being persecuted for reasons that are limited to their appearance.

This week on the Headwarmaz...we would like to ensure that the headz are not just sitting idly while the world goes on around them.

Freestyle Friday: This is the slot made for you to call in and show us your skill. This week we do not want you to freestyle. This week we would like you to come through with your verses telling us how you feel about Xenophobia (of Afrophobia to be exact) and some verses about how we will go forward after the World Cup.

Remember that the studio number is 021 448 6266...let your voice be heard.

Straight off da top-ic: This week we talk about the way forward. 2010 was the promised year. This was the year when everyone was supposed to see an improvement in their standards of living. Now that we are in the second half of the year...what are our visions of the future. As young people what kind of mechanisms are we going to put in place to improve our own lives, and not wait for the government to dawdle to our a**istance.

What legends are made of: For all the old skool headz. We look at some of the music that has made Mos Def a living legend and one of the most recognisable voices (and faces) in hip-hop.

We hope to hear from you. Remember you can catch Headwarmaz on Bush Radio 89.5 fm at 22h00 every friday night.  If you are not in Cape Town you can catch the live-stream on www.bushradio.co.za
