All this dick riding and bitching is making me sick to my stomach. It really is simple. If you like hype, then buy it. If you dont, stop buying it and bitching about it after EVERY issue.

You people have been bitching since the very first issue, and little to nothing has been done about your complaints. We live in a free society. If you are paying for a service you do not approve of, excercise your right to find another service provider, or become one yourself.

yo i think hype is dope...very informative etc..thats the birds eye for for me on hip hop and where its at..the latest buzz etc...so the bitching and moaning is really uncalled for to be honest...once you in hype and you balling then aint no complaints ne?...one!

Because that's the mag business. None of us have enough money, enough space or enough staff. All we have is our contacts, our phone lines and internet. Do you know how much cash it takes to produce the kind of mag HYPE is? Even when they charge crazy money for ads, it's still tough.

Rob why you got to make it sound like we in communist china and next you going to write that they employ 5 year olds to run the printing press and over work them with little pay. Dude SL magazine had a huge following and was sold off to a private media company who handle it now, and SL magazine was under the same umbrella as Hype and many other magz. Im sure theres budget to employ more people if the magazine has potential, no retarded invester would keep numbers to a minium knowing theres the potential of growth. I respect the fact the simz and mizi is running hype mag and they are good at what they do but theres always a list of people who send in articles and what not! As for unreliable would that be you since you contribute as well?

1. The 'shoebox' comment was not meant as insult - to either Mizi or Simz or HYPE as a mag. I've seen that office. It's tiny. That's all I'm saying, nothing more.
2. I didn't say they did it alone. I only said they probably don't have near enough staff. As an editor myself I know that if money was no object I'd hire shitloads of people.
3. I haven't contributed to HYPE for around a year now. I've proposed stories but they haven't been followed up - which is their perogative. I'm not too bothered.
4. I'm sure there is a list of people who send in articles. Doesn't mean all of them are good, or worth publishing. Good rap journalism - really good rap journalism - is hard to do well.

Also that that Damolaa and Bungaman track. The Marena track was flippin' nice as well.....it has that Lesotho niceness i dig.....reminded me of the TKZee track and the old Lesotho "mbaqanga"----the guy who use to flip a tail, made out off a blanket, in Bodloza's show back in the day_____some funny ol' skool
