Add your monthly Vehicle Finance cost and your Insurance cost and maintenance cost per month and divide by km traveled. (Tires should last +/- 30000km , and you should have two services a year) if you travel 300 km per day that means you need new tires every 1000 days i.e. every three years - at a cost of R 2400,- = R 800,-/year = R66.67 per month. A service( oil change and filters) costs +/- R 800,- i.e. R 133,- a month. Plus a major service every year at R 2800,- (I'm just sucking these figures out of my thumb, you should know them precisely) You VF is +/- R 3000,-/ month Insurance +/- R 400,-/month Tires +/- R 66.67,-/month services+/- R 133,-/month major service +/- R 233/month Fuel +/- R 4000,-/month = +/- R 7832.67/month divide by km traveled (300/day = 6000/month) = R 1.31/km double that up for unforeseen repairs but as I said , you'll have to use you own figures to be spot on (if you don't have VehicleFinance (HP) then divide your vehicle purchase price by 60(month))
