iPhone all day every day. f*** all that technical bullshit. I need my phone to work seamlessly with my Mac (as I would rather chop off my arms than have to use a PC). It's simple.

None of you nerds mentioned the user experience either. Apple is always way ahead.

Actually most reviewers, me included, rate the user experience on the Pre, not only as matching the iPhone, but actually beating it.

Like you said, you don't bother with all the tinkering as much as I use to do on my iPhone. With the Pre, none of that was necessary, cos the phone is open to all developers' apps etc. without having to pay or jailbreak it.

The Pre is awesome. I just can't wait to see if this thing actually matches up, since the N97 also looked good on paper, but didn't deliver. I had one on test for a week and was really not impressed.

"maaaan" that quote's 'soooo' Sep 9th... ::)

Read it and weep punch-drunky:

Quote from: Nokia Rep on 11 September 2009
This week, there have been a number of speculative stories suggesting that Nokia will not allow for operator customization of Maemo devices. Seems a few people are getting ahead of themselves. As we have said over the past couple of weeks, our plan with Maemo is to focus on the consumer experience – integrating applications and services from Nokia, our broad community of developers and publishers and, of course, from our operator customers. While we have not announced immediate plans to offer an operator variant for the N900, there are many customization points for operators on the N900. It would be absolutely incorrect to a**ume that we will not offer operators the ability to tailor future Maemo devices to suit their needs.

10 Things you need to know about the N900:

7. First for Firefox

Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the announcement for the technology industry is the fact the N900 will be among the first with Firefox Mobile, the potted-down version of the popular desktop web browser.

The browser included within the N900 is actually built on Firefox founder Mozilla's technology, but Firefox Mobile will offer all the treats of the larger browser on a mobile phone.

This means tabbed browsing, intuitive web search with the Awesome Bar, and even synchronised bookmarks across your desktop and mobile experience.

Given the N900 is based on the ability to multi-task easily, this is a very important element for the new device.

Not much. Rather get the HTC Magic or the HTC touch Pro 2, or the Palm Pre.

Please refer to page 1 of this thread to witness the beatdown handed to your puny demi-god idol/idle iphone kanye.
Don't make me pull the race card Rob. On some: "Are you calling me a geek because I'm black or are you speaking for all white iphone stans against the N900 which is only available in Black?" Huh? ??? ;D ;)
