I'm saying if I buy a PS3 and use it on hd ready lcd would i get 720p output and if i use it(ps3) on full hd would i get 1080p and is it wise for someone to buy a full hd now takin into consideration that the blue ray dvds and ps3 games are kak priced... matter of fackt is DSTV on 1080p yet?
not a geek, but dstv still has that 720p.....with more hd chanells they will acquire as time goes by, they bound to upgrade the whole setup and have all on 1080p.
the 1080p is currently in trial mode at sum lodges and estate that have set up they selves on fibreoptic transmissions(sun city is the 1 i know of).
In most cases the human eye cannot tell the difference between 720p and 1080p anyway, so don't stress. HD TV shows that DSTV screens are created using 720p, because 1080p is expensive according to TV show producers, and it's going to be like that for a while.
Don't be fooled by DSTV promising a 1080p channel, because most probably the original content would still be in 720p, even though it will be beamed via a 1080p signal. Upscaling doesn't make a noticeable difference.
