Prince Po & Pharoah- complimented each other to the tee, from the get go, developed their styles together as one of the tightest crews to date.

El-p & Bigg Juss- Before these cat´s set it off none of these so-called backpacker mc´s could have made an Impact, different styles that had to much flava!

Zevlove x & Subroc- KMD- These were the tightest run away flow mc´s of their time, pity Subroc´s life ended so soon, but it did however give birth to Mf Doom (What more can I say!!)

The entire Freestyle Fellowship outfit especially Aceyalone & Abstract Rude- Long before J5, Blackalicious and the rest of them, they had the craziest flows with even crazier lyrics!!

Kool G & Mf Grimm- Altough not a crew, did quite a few joints together, just listen to ´Take em´ to War´ to see what I mean.

its simple..the minute these cats so solos they f*** shiit up..i dont know a duo that survived after a solo by either one of the cats..

obvious Succeses are DAS EFX

smiff-n-wessun..only coz they did not try to get cute and go they seaparate ways..

also most duo..kinda accomodate each other..instead of complementing each other..they know they can really really click but feel for reason to drop albumn coz some cant got at it alone they must form a duo..

Vordel..the more superior MC in my opinion..the way he writes most lazy listners(majority of heads)..could not stomach a whole album from him same goes for..Organized Confusion...one cat always has a slight apeal over the other..

blackstar on the otherhand is a mystery to me..i dunno what happened..but i suspect it had something to do with Kweli and his albums...

Shimani and Selwyv complemented each other beutifully..i dunno how things would have turned out but i suspect they counld have gone far..


Menzi & Sphiwe  will get split by the industry...i belive pressure will mount on them to sound more..or rather appeal more to the kwaito fan-base..i have been known to be wrong..but i think its unlikly that they will last to long..i seen the making of the track with Kabelo..and it was clear to me that Menzi was more eager than Sphiwe...



wit that sed..DAS EFX got the perfect formula coz neither one of them can survive without the other and i doubt any of them can drop a complete solo..

so yeah

duos are a good idea if you dont encourage indepedence
