lyrically,,, KONFAB takes out anyone on anyone's list,,, but i can understand why he's not on more people's lists as his style is more for the connoisseur. Also, he doesn't really battle so that might count against him for some people.
Archetypes have all got very interesting, dense, complex rhyme structures, but still come with the rawness. They make a great combination. Huge energy and entertainment factor for people willing to see beyond the obvious.
Tumi is great, also world cla**.
For Spaza, Driemaanskaap and Maniac Squad are killing it. I'm not really qualified as I can't speak Xhosa, but their flow is dope and they murder crowds when they perform.
Pro Kid and Saudi Westerns have managed to form a nice blend of US-style attitude with the SA vibe,,, definitely a formula for the way forward.
Trusenz also has international-standard talent and versitility to kill it,,, we'll be seeing a lot more of him soon i believe.
