Exclude luxuries,How much do you  need to get through the month/s including rent, bills and other expenses. And in a realistic world how much in rands do u thnk u will need to be well of?

Its hard to tell.

but i feel in this day and age, just to have the essentials (i.e Car, Place to stay, Food, Clothes, Toiletries, Cleaning stuff, Internet, Phone, books, Funeral cover, Life cover, etc)  u need around R15 000(after tax). this excludes entertainment.

I pay R4500 alone on policies a month from my own salary, i have no benefits. (Medi aid included)

Rent is R4800. Groceries and house goods about R1000 a month. Petrol R1200. School fees loan R2200. Car installment R3200.

These are just my essential costs. After this i have hardly anything left for myself


Luxuries:

Domestic salary R480
DSTV R549
Cellphone contracts 2 - Maximum of R420pm for both, i have them capped.

Spending money is probably enough for a can of coke and 2 loose stuyv's

Dont have a specific amount as what u earn determines ur problems, money makes u dumb and be filled with ego, best way i too cut down on expenses and avoid credit, u can earn so little but enjoy more o the other way round, have a reasonable budget, nikas i know its hard but try not to be preoccupied with luxiries

Car with Insurance about R3500. Flat - 5000, Food - hard to say coz I get broads to cook from time to time, Drinks - R500. I must do a budget, i may be living beyond my means. I'm close to 10 000 without mentioning petrol and other things.

This is currently my BIGGEST problem. I spend on average R1300 a month. It is killing me.

I still have more than half of last month's salary in my account and its only a few days away from payday.

Comprehensive medical aid alone is R1800pm. This shit is essential. You are fooling yourself if you are living without medi aid.
