Well, I'm not quite impressed about the album..maybe it's because I'd already heard some of the joints from leaks. But all in all, it sounds a bit too earthy for my liking. But that's just me.
And for heads who've been fans of Damian's style of production for a minute, some of the joints really do sound similar:
+Tribal war = Confrontation (off of Damian's "Welcome to Jamrock"), I like the chorus though, influenced by Culture's song of the same name.
+Leaders = It was written (off of Damian's "Halfway tree"). Still though, it's a dope joint, one of my favourites.
+Count your blessings = Sunshine girl(from Damian's "Welcome to Jamrock")
+Dispear = The mission(ft. Stephen Marley)
Believe I've made my point. My favourite joints are when Damian comes hard at it (Nahright and As we enter). Plus they sampled that 'Dub fire (African children) joint off of Aswad's "New chaper in dub". Shit had me tripping the f*** out!
Favourites: As we enter, Strong will continue, Leaders, Friends, Dispear, Land of promise, Nah mean
, and Africa must wake up.
Nuff said!
