YOU DARE SUMMON ME
Aiight First impression,I'm finna go head and give it between a 3 and a 3.5 out of 5. The plot is a bit too convoluted, there's like a trillion subplots and although they eventually come together in an acceptable way, the taste of a rush job never left my mouth. One or maybe two rewrites could've fixed a lot.
There's only three action scenes in the movie, although the final fight lasts for roughly 20-30 minutes. Whiplash in his final armor ( fight should've lasted longer) looks little like Crimson Dynamo armor with whips attached shoulda made that shit more original.

the whiplash armor from the comics is fine as is and woulda made a nice change having tony fight a character similar to his size instead of a sequel to the warmonger fight from part 1

The biggest problem in my opinion is the humor. It's like they tried to force as many jokes as possible into every scene and it just doesn't work. Characters seldom have any dialogue that doesn't feature smart-a** remarks, sarcasm, pointless bantering and/or one-liners. Problem is, too little of them are actually funny, the rest is just 'meh, move along'.
The good shit then. While Favreau is still limited as an action director, he spazzed out on destruction. The Monaco fight features some of the most ridiculously awesome destruction I've recently seen in a movie. Don Cheadle nails Rhodey. At first it was like alright, but when he first puts on the Mark-II armor, his whole demeanor screams Rhodey! Scarlett is sexy like hell and has a nice extended a**-kicking scene. A special stand-out scene for me was Tony... drunk! That's right, Tony gets wasted in one scene and it's as awkward as you'd expect seeing a billionaire inside a robotic armor flaunting around.
Final thoughts: the movie is enjoyable but flawed. It's going to take some time to decide where it should be ranked amongst the other superhero movies
still hates dark knight. In the end everything does fit but it lacks focus. I dunno, I probably have a better opinion after my second viewing,
