So I just installed windows 7 and everything is peachy...OS looks beatiful and is mos def gon impress the bishes...But then I notice that some of my programs have disappeared, most notable being MS Project and my sound drivers, this upsets me coz I need that shit for work...anyway I get over it coz i'm still chuffed with my windows7 and all the bishes i'ma impress...

Anyway long story short, I decide to install some RAM that a homie of mine hooked me up with, while doin this I notice a dust build up on my CPU fan, so I remove it clean it, Re-install everything properly and close the case...

I switch on my computer...It sounds on but everything else is dead ie Monitor, keyboard, Mouse etc.

I open it again and check if everything is istalled correctly, and it is...However the only thing that seems to be working is the damn CPU fan...I decide to take out the newly installed RAM and restart...DEAD!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

Touareg, I don't have knowledge of hardware but as far the software that disappeared, yes thats what should happen. You've installed a new operating system so every software that is not a standard window feature will need to be reinstalled. You have to reinstall everything.

With that kind of ignorance I have a feeling you didnt backup things you had on your computer? like music, movies, pron, etc

Not necessarily.

I know that Windows 7 is capable of just searching for drivers for most of the stuff you need, so just connect to the net and it will update your drivers etc.

Software will most probably be gone though.

As for music and stuff, hopefully you didn't save them on the system partition of your HDD, then they should still be safe.

Yeah this is where i'm sittin right now...not really worried about software coz i can get it.

anyaway  your ram is either f***ed, connected wrong or you aint f*** with the jumper settings proper...

WHY R U installing windows 7 anyhow?

Dude...

if it sounds on, your RAM is the issue. replace the old shit and see if that helps.
