I was bathing this morning, as I usually do, and I was over come with emotion (no homo)

I started drifting into memory lane, of days when I would was my then stay together woman
and i thought wow, what are those things that guys miss from long term relashionships..

Don't get wrong single is the shit but sometimes a stay in woman or long term relashionship has its moment.

Marriage is the most f***ed up idea ever. The level of compromise required in these long term relationships is just...shit...you can't even quantify it! For real tho...'til death do us part'...does anybody understand the gravity of that statement? There is so much bullshit likely to happen between date of marriage and date of death (or divorce, whichever comes first, and even that isn't always a clean escape) that you literally do not know what you're getting yourself into.

I think peoples need to stop watching these romantic comedies. Movies about REAL relationships, showcasing REAL marital problems should be the order of the day, so that people make informed decisions. Peeps need to revisit their idea of what 'love' is. Having seen several f***ed up marriages, I'm not tryna wife anbody any time soon. No siree...

I've changed so much in the last year, how much more in 30 or 40 years?
Compromise was the secret of lasting marriages before but I notice usually one party compromises their a** off while the other pushes their way.

Or maybe I just need to be exposed to great marriages where people are actually happy and wouldn't want to escape their lot? I need to learn from those people.
