On eNews yesterday they said that 24 Million people in SA are living on less than R4000 a month. Granted, a lot of them are probably living in really poverty stricken areas and probably don't have the kind of expenses that us priviledged ones bring upon ourselves, but still, R4000? Nah man...I don't know how they do it.

Dow Jones was a British Pirate, who stole a large amount of money during the 18th century and invested it in America.

This led to the formation of many legitimate businesses and the stock exchange decided to name a special $500 000 bill after him. These bills are only used on the trading floors and the canteens in the buildings, because it is considered too risky to allow them out, since people can be robbed of millions much easier then.

The Hang Seng was created by a Chinese trader, when in the early 1990s he wanted to buy stock in the clothing label Hang Ten. Being Chinese, he mispronounced the words and the name stuck.
Thus, any stock in clothing labels and fabrics, is called Hang Seng.
