Yo D whats good..well for one..RAttex..im not kissing a** but he reminds me of immortal who is my mentoor and fav rapper of all time #realtalk..#respect..then there is NKE my group who i am working f***in hard ror and still they refuse to recognize..not tha they not good..they are f***in awesome..but thats the fight i guess..then there is cats Koli qha mentioned..then therr is suburban menace,grand alliance,hemelbesem,remy e,trojan x, miss celaneous, Leshem petersen,youngsta,tuboy,priest tahoody,dirtyfunk,chad saaiman,keeno lee,loyd jansen,DNA,sarah jane and a f*** load of others..the poles dont mean shit..if you want a fair poll..then ask a simple question.."who is your fav SA artist signed or unsigned."..cause our "celebs" aint that f***in cooll..look at that fool AKA..he doin his thang and im hatin yes..only cause if we were given the same spportunity and  had interests and f***in money and support then he would be a kak rapper..he is kak very americanized..too american..

You see what the problem is? Who knows any of those people, outside of Cape Town cats and a few heads who make an effort to look for unknown artists' music? If those names were on the poll, no one would have bothered voting.

i see your problem..now see the problem..why should i be forced to vote for those artist when i think they not the shit and the poll organizer could have done better and recieved widespread votes and interests should he have taken the step to go outside of the safe zone....you dont know that one of those groups in that list already has about close to 2000 fans on their fb as an example..you cant limite ppl to just those artist in that poll..you will be amazed how much pull some of those artist have in or out of the cape and they could actually put those artist in the polls to sleep with their base..and these artist i mentioned fans come out and support..those other cats just have them as fans.no more no less...you on some one way shit my friend..you to close minded when it comes to the ever growing hip hop in SA..

@angry, the fact that you agreed regarding other artist who should have featured on the list says it all..how can i want to vote for a non appealing list of artist..you should actually broaden your knowledge of artist in cape town..there is a f*** load that i mentioned who you never heard of but they have a fanbase, there music sells, they have good turn outs at events..its because they are seen as trying to be to american as soon as they open their mouths, so we as coloureds are judged before we even show what we got..a black/african artist is safe  except the cat who had a good upbringing/whiteman syndromes..you know..coconut niccas..anyway..enjoy cat just know that NKE,my group will be the for-runners in this city real soon..cause i believe if we work at at something..it will be ours..f*** color too.

i hate to say but most colored rappers alwys try to sound american. spaza rappers like driemanskap stick to their core lingo and accent and they enjoy a fair amount of success. perhaps other groups, coloreds included should just do the same and maybe then fans will take them seriousy. all other races who mimick drake included. theres no f***ing rule that says someone should know someone. i dont even know someone who knows someone that knows your group money. stop whoring!

How do you explain the people mentioned making it so huge nationally and internationally, if it is a case of coloureds not making it? Explain please. If you come into the game sounding fake, you will be considered fake. nothing to do with race. I calla lot of black and white people fake as well. Not because of their race, but because its true, at least in my view.
