Its like how dope you are is determined by how American you sound these days..  I know a lot of these dudes.. the accents, dress code, beats, and js their demeanor in general.. its disgusting..

Im not knocking nobody, but to me it just displays a lack of originality and innovation, which to me are two things that are critical in any mc's make-up...

Il always hold Pro kid in high regard, kauz regardless of the fact ive never had enough patience to bump an entire album of his, he still made this shit sound local.. Woz'uzobabona is still top 3 freshest joint ive ever heard from a mainstream local artist.. nothing in that track is out of place..

I feel you on this issue. SA isn't the only country that has rappers trying to sound "American". New Zealand Hip-Hop has been on a low for a moment. I remember I used to listen to Scribe, Young Sid,
The Decepticons, and PNC a few years back and I probably would've  expected an accent but no.
Once you hear them, you'd expect to hear an accent but when they rhyme, they sound like another person from the States. During the interviews, they sound like a regular "Kiwi" (or British) person,
which I find weird.

That's why I have some respect from Australian Hip-Hop. You hear the accent and no sudden changes.
