looks like this site is down and out! i been lurking here for a bit and thought maybe i should take it over and turn it around...

Not a corporate take over kinda sh!t, but i would like to improve and reach new hip hop markets and audiences

King, you may be right. I even wonder sometimes if Milk still controls this site. I know that
Mad (Boss) and I have joked about a corporate take over but I've recognized that even
the old heads that used to pop here are no longer around (ChildAKApoet, BLKRHoze,
Spacevein, Jay-Lee, Dpleezy, EDnasty, Mapaputsi000 and a couple of others I can't think
of). This was an issue about 3 years ago but this has now been an concern now.

I don't even know!!! Last time I heard from him was on my birthday 5 years ago!! He was willing to
trade a P.O.C album for something. I also haven't heard from Watzisnehmagen (sp) in a while. He
would also come up with some International Hip-Hop stuff. Him and I were like the only people who
listened to Hip-Hop outside of the US or SA.

Africasgateway (which started in 1997) will always exist as long as I have the means to fund it. 

The story of AG is a very long and complicated one which I hope to put to words one day.  But if there is anyone out there who thinks they can take it to the next level and make it benefit the Hip Hop community I would like to meet them.

Just like AG, SA HipHop has been on ICU for a minute, and no one has the guts to pull the plug and save us from the torture. Besides a few dudes making moves, the whole movement has been stagnant.

By the way: Peace to Khuli Chana for being the 1st hiphop act winning 3 Major awards at the SAMA!

I dunno about the new cats like Khuli , AKA, and Jozi. They seem too "Americanized" despite that "Jealousy" song from AKA cause I feel it. Anytime I listen to YFM or Metro, it gets closer to becoming like my local commercial Hip-Hop station here in America. I know that Da L.E.S. was born or raised in the U.S. and Ishmael has been around since the P.O.C. days but I'm not feeling the commercial SA stuff as much. Kinda reminds me of when UK Garage was sounding like Dipset's music during the Grime's final stages.
