I have a research essay due soon and it's about "Who has the right to be called African?".

What in your opinion, makes someone African? Simply being born here? Race? Culture?

Your help would really be appreciated.

At the end of your post could you also put where you're from and your age... just so i get a feel of who's perspective it is.

was reading somewhere that the anc is also grappling wit the same issues- try get a copy of the discussion papaer that's circulating... know it focusses mainly on SA, but the argument on Afrikanners & other white people may be of a**istance.
