Apparently they heavily leveraged for the R&D period for the new XBox, becos they actually made ALMOST NO money on the original XBox, cos they subsidised 27% of ALL sales in the Americas and Britain, France, Germany and Switzerland, in order to capture sum of Sony's market share. Seems Xbox was the setup, with the 360 being the attempted knockout, things are lookin f***in bleak for the XBOX dept. at Microsoft. If it does go under, Microsoft proper wont really be in any danger, but the entire Xbox dept. could end up bein closed as a failed experiment, thats gon fuk wit the nearly 10 000 peeps employed here.
